Chapter 54: Both Boys?

Lucky's pov

Leo's been acting weird all day, so has Enzo. We all took the day off to relax our minds but they looked more stressed than ever. "You both look like you need to take a shit" Adriano laughs as he rocks Damiano to sleep. They both roll their eyes, flipping him off. "Daddy up" Luciano tugs at my leg.

I lifted him up and sat him next to me on the couch. He's able to piece more and more words together as the days go by. It makes me happy that he's getting older but also shocked. Now I can understand why parents don't want their kids to get older. One day you'll see them get to the age where they move out and start their own family. You'll sit back and think where'd all the time go? "I hungry" Luciano manages to mumble.

"Mama's making food it should be done soon" He crosses his arms throwing himself back on the couch with a loud huff. I let him not even care for his actions right now handing him his tablet he put on youtube watching some weird cartoons. Their heads are bigger than their bodies.

I don't understand it but it's what he likes. He's getting bigger by the day "Uncle Lucky is Luciano going to be a big brother?" Gabriele asks, still playing with some cars on the floor. Is Athena pregnant again? I think she will tell me this time.

"Not that I know of, do you know something that I don't?" He shakes his head no before running off. Leo and Enzo's faces go pale as they watch Gabriele run away. Yeah they're both definitely hiding something. "Come on idiots the food is done" Athena comes out, Luciano runs to the dining room trying to jump up to his chair.

I put him in his high chair placing his small plate of food in front of him. He starts to eat it smiling ear to ear. Athena places a juice bottle in his holder and leaves it there. "Have you noticed that Emma, Leo, Bianca and Vincenzo are acting weird?" Athena whispers in my ear. I nod yes.

We all know they're hiding something but what they're hiding is the question. I mean it couldn't be that bad that all 4 of them are freaking out. Well it shouldn't be. "I'm here sorry i'm late" Santo comes in with Rory sitting at the table. He's been taking power from his mafia more and more.

Slowly me and Athena are putting the responsibility on him. Not too much though because he's still in school we wouldn't want to overwhelm him with all of that. He's only 18 at the end of the day. Aurora's been going and helping him a lot as well. "Your fine Santo we just started eating anyways" I tell him he nods his head going back to the food on his plate.

We eat, making conversation here and there, nothing too big just enjoying each other's company. "Dada" Luciano says as I look at him his plate is all done so is his bottle but he's covered in food. How the hell he managed to get food in his hair is beyond me. "Do you want me to bathe him?" Athena asks, ready to stand up.

No, she needs to sit and relax.

 "I got it bambina" I take Luci from his high chair bringing him upstairs to his room. I turn on the bath letting the water fill up. Taking off his dirty clothes I throw them in his hamper that is slowly getting full.

I'll wash clothes tomorrow. I talked to Athena about hiring people to help us with this but she kept saying no. She would only get a babysitter if we needed the rest we could figure it out. Her words exactly were 'Think of the people who don't have help and they manage or the people who are single parents with multiple kids and get it done' She has a point there are people who have it bad and still manage.

I did start to donate to more charities for situations like that. I have the extra money. Why not use it for something good? Luciano plays around in the bath with some of his little toys giving me enough time to quickly take out his clothes. He closes his eyes when I pour water over his head, removing any soap from his body. "Alright Luci, time to get dressed and find out what your aunt's are hiding." I wrap him in his towel draining the water from the tub.

Placing Luciano on top of his dresser I put him on a diaper before putting on his pajama pants. "Arms up bud" He tries to put them as high as he can. I smile at him putting on his shirt. Drying his hair with the towel he laughs loudly trying to move away. Once I'm done I pick him up and he wraps his arms around my neck resting his head on my shoulder.

He'll fall asleep soon. It's almost eight that's around the time he sleeps. It's even better that he's been sleeping the whole night. I sit next to Athena fixing Luciano's position. He's trying to keep his eyes open. "Daddy play" He mumbles pointing to the floor. Putting him down he crawls over to Gabriele who is watching some type of cartoon. Gabriele scoots down as they both lay on the floor watching cartoons.

"Alright can you guys tell us what the hell is going on now?" Athena looks at the 4 who have barely said anything all night.

Athena's pov

I look at Vincenzo who is clearly hiding something. I've known him my whole life. He's not good at hiding things from me at all. Leo all looks like he's ready to tell the truth. "Fine this one's for you and Lucky and this one's for Mia and Adriano." Bianca hands me a small box and Emma hands Mia one.

Slowly opening it there's a bunch of blue confetti paper in it. I pick up the picture frame Lucky holds up the small onesie.

They're both pregnant.

"Oh my god you both are going to be parents!" Mia jumps up happily holding her picture frame. "Leonardo you grew up you piece of shit awe" Mia tells her twin who rolls his eyes. That's Mia for you always has always will be.

"Wait, why two different boxes?" Adriano asks Enzo to give him a dumbfounded look. "Godparents Adriano" The paper was blue in both boxes. You can find out the baby's gender through blood work now. No way they are both having boys. "Are they both boys?" I ask they all smiling nodding yes

I hug them all and congratulate them. Children are blessings nothing less and nothing more. The boy's already have some of the best parents I can think of. "Bianca's due a week before Emma's due but they're both a month in" Enzo snaps me out of my thinking.

I'm so fucking happy for them. They all really do deserve it, nothing but the best blessing to them.

After a while we hear the snores of Luciano and Gabriele from behind the couch. "That's our cue. I'll see you guys tomorrow" Adriano takes Gabriele while Mia holds Damiano. Soon after everyone else leaves I put Luci in his bed wrapping him in his favorite blanket putting on the baby minotaur.

Santo and Rory passed out right after dinner. They'll hear about the news when they wake up. Going into the room our bed is empty so it is the bathroom. Where the fuck is my wife at? "Bambina?" I call out for her "In the kitchen" I quickly walk over seeing her clean whatever's in the sink.

Shutting off the water I dry her hands and she gives me a weird look. "I'll do it in the morning right now I need you sleeping next to me" I lift her up bridal style she laughs wrapping her arms around me for more support.

"You can't go two seconds without me" I look at her placing a kiss on her lips

"due secondi senza di te sono troppo"

(Two seconds without you is to much)
