Chapter 3

A'mari pov

I'm with my auntie. She helped me put my dress and shoes on. Today is my dads funeral. I looked down as she braided my hair in 4 braids with weav. She braids fast. Then we went outside with the rest of the family

Granny. Hey baby

I waved not saying anything. She hugged me. We got in the limo and they took us to the church. We lined up and walked in the funeral. When I saw my daddy I broke down cry. My auntie held me. We sat down and I couldn't stop crying. They closed the casket and started the funeral. I looked down at my lap as tears covered my face.

Granny. It's ok baby

She kissed my forehead holding me. Flashbacks flashed though my head. After the funaral and we went to the grave yard they put him right next to my mom. My auntie kissed my forehead hugging me. I can't both of my parents are gone.

Granny. Look at me

I looked up at her as tears rolled down my face

Granny. There watching over you

I nodded we got back in the limo and we went to granny house where we ate And looked at old pictures of my daddy.

I'm not really hungry but auntie is making me eat.

2 hours later

The social just came to get me

Granny. Will we be Abel to see her

Social worker. I'll set up dates  that I'll have them bring her.

Granny nodded we went to the place and she got all my stuff then she started driving. I just stared out the window with tears rolling do my face.

We pulled up at this big house

We got out and she got my stuff. We went to the door and she rung the door bell. And the man let us in. This is one of the man who killed my dad.

A tear slipped out my eye. We went in and he showed us to my room. It was nice

I looked around putting my medicine back in one of the cabinets and my tablet in a drawer. before going back to looking down and going back in the room.

Social worker. Ok I'm leaving

She left and he went to walk her out. He came back with the rest of the men that killed my dad. I felt my hands shaking. They checked my bags before putting them in the closet

Man. Seat on the bed

I sat on the bed looking down at my lap. I felt them starting at me.

Man. Look up

I looked up at them

Man. You call me. Dad, him papa, and there your uncles

I just looked at him

"Dad". If your not calling us that then don't talk to us

That's fine by me I don't wanna talk to them anyway.

"Dad". you will not be leaving this room unless I tell u to

I just looked at him

"Dad". If I decided to let you out this room you want tell anyone about what we did. Do you understand?

I just looked at them. He pulled his phone out and  put on the video of them killing my dad. Tears rolled out my eyes

"Dad". You want that to happen to you

I shook my head no

"Dad". Do you understand?

I nodded and they left. I laid down crying in my pillow. I hard the door open. I don't care

??. You hungry?

I didn't even bother to look up. They already killed my dad why cant they just leave me alone and let me live with my granny or Auntie. After a while the person left. I got up getting pj's. I took a shower putting them on then I brushed my teeth. I laid in the bed getting under the cover.

Tears rolled down my face as I just looked at the wall having flashback of my daddy being killed.

Kentrell pov

I looked at the camera in A'mari's room seeing her laying in the bed staring at the wall.

Me. Did she say she was hungry?

Montana. She didn't say anything back

I nodded putting my phone down

Me. Is her door locked?

Montana nodded we played the game intill the pizza got here. We ate and everybody but ben left. I went to a shower and then I laid down going to sleep.
