Chapter 6

5 days later

kentrell pov

I'm looking at the camera in A'mari room as she tossed and turned in her sleep. I think she having a nightmare. She jumped up crying and hyperventilating

Jazz. Who crying

Me. A'mari

Jazz. I'll go check on her

She got up going to A'mari room

A'mari pov

I jumped up out my sleep hyperventilating. I had another nightmare I have one every night it's nothing new. I couldn't calm down.

I saw jazz come in. I wiped my tears laying back down still crying.

Jazz. What's wrong?

I coughed trying to calm down. I got back under the cover

Jazz. Did you have a nightmare

I didn't answer that man probably sent her in here. I felt her seat on my bed. I balled up not wanting her to touch me.

Jazz. You wanna watch a movie with me and kentrell.

Who is kentrell? I wiped my face sniffing. She pulled the cover off me

Jazz. What was your nightmare about

I just looked at her my eyes started getting heavy and I fell back to sleep. But I could still hear her

Jazz. Goodnight

I felt her kiss my cheek

The next morning

I woke up to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes looking over seeing "dad".

"Dad". Get up

I got up going to the bathroom. First I brushed my teeth and washed my face then I started a shower getting my cloths out the closet and my shoes. I took a shower putt my cloths on and my shoes then I did my edges and came out the bathroom.

When "dad" came back in he told me to come on. We went to the dinning room. I sat down looking down at the table.

Jazz. Here

I looked up seeing her seat waffle in front of me. I'm not hungry she put a cup of juice in front of me. I just stared at it in-till they finished eating.

"Dad". Why you not eating

I felt them staring at me after a while he said we had to go and just threw the food away. We got in the truck. Jazz put the baby in the car seat and she got in the front seat. We drove to this house.

"Dad". Get that Present from the trunk 

When she got out he turned to me

"Dad". Say remember what I said

I nodded looking down jazz got the present out the trunk and we got out going in the house. This nisha house she got pictures of her and her kids on the wall.

Nisha. Hey

I looked up waving she took us to the backyard where everyone else was. I saw jr he came over here

Jr. Come get on the bouncey house with me

I looked up at "dad" to see if I could go

"Dad". P!

Kam came over here

"Dad". Follow her

He nodded we got to the bounce house I took my shoes off pulling my socks up. We got in the bounce house.

Kayden. Hey

I waved jr got my hand pulling me to the obstacle course. We went though it together and we went again.

Kam. Slow down

My smile dropped

Jr. What's wrong?

I shook my head we went though the obstacle course. Then we went and got something to drink. I got a juice

Sheronda. Hey

I waved look up at her. She hugged me. Jr told me to come on. We got on the bounce house and kelp doing the obstacle.

Jr. Why he gotta follow u

I shrugged

Me. 10

Me. 6th grade

Jr. Mine is January 23rd

we went to do this big 4 in a row game. I laughed as jr dropped his color in the wrong spot making me win

We started playing another round I dropped the yellow thing where I wanted it to go watching to see where he would put the red one. Then I went again.

Cake time

We song happy birthday to Armani then she blew the candles out. She's 3 now. They started handing out cupcakes. I really don't want one but it look good. I ate it anyway now she's opening her gifts. It was a lot of toys.

After she opened the presents we got to play a little longer then the party was over. Jr hugged me. And we left kayden, taylin, k3 and kacey came. When we got to the house I had to go back in my room.

Kayden. Why can't she stay out here?

"Dad". Cuz I said so

He closed my door I took my shoes off and got some shorts and shirt. And some underwear. I took me a shower putting the stuff on and I laid down. My phone started ringing. It's granny I smiled but it fell when I remember the man did something to the phone. I answered

Granny. Hey Baby

Me. Hey granny

Granny. What you doing?

Me. Nothing

I felt my eyes fill up with tears

Granny. I'm cooking your favorite

She showed that she was making mac and cheese, fried chiken, Rice and greens. My mouth watered she showed me the red koolaid

Granny. Alrigh love you

Me. I love u to

My voice cracked

Granny. What's wrong?

The man came in here glaring at me

Me. Nothing

She nodded looking at me. I hung up he just stood there glaring at me. Tears rolled down my face. What did I even do wrong?

"Dad". Give me the phone

I shook my head no looking at him. He came over here snatching it out my hand. I just broke down crying befor runing in the bathroom and locking myself in there. I heard him walking around. I went and sat on the chair thing under my sink and I laid my head on the sink falling to sleep.
