Chapter 60

A'mari pov

Today is the day before Christmas Eve. I just woke up and I feel like crying. I got up brushing my teeth, washing my face and taking a shower putting on a sweat suit taking my bonnet off. I got lemonade braids. I went downstairs seeing my cousins and kam seating on the couch. I went in the kitchen noticing king following me

Granny. Seat down

I sat at the table and she sat food in front of me. I laid my head down. I'm not hungry

Granny. Eat

I shook my head staring at it. Tears started rolling out my eyes. Granny sat next to me rubbing my back

Granny. You need to eat

I shook my head again as more tears rolled out my eyes. She wiped my tears but more fell out my eyes. She just stared at me. The tears kelp rolling down my face. She got the spoon off my plate and tried to feed me. I shook my head

Granny. Eat

She put it to my mouth. I opened my mouth and she feed it to me. I held it in my mouth and closed my eyes. She laid her head on my forehead. I opened my eyes. I chewed the food swallowing.

Pa pa. Mari!

Granny made me eat another spoon than I went to hug him. He kisses my forehead. I went and made my self eat my food. Then I sat on the couch with my cousins. I laid my head on the arm rest. Safari sat next to me playing with my hand. She laid on my shoulder. I closed my eyes listening to the tv. I felt her let go of my hand. I opened my eyes looking at the tv. King came and stood in front of me.

King the dog pov

I stood in front of A'mari. She looks sad. I turned my head to the side. I wonder where dad is. Maybe she's sad because we haven't seen dad. I jumped up on the couch laying on her lap. She looked at me and back at the tv. I put my nose on her hands sniffing. It smells like strawberry's. I licked her hands not tasting strawberry's. It taste like nothing. Her hand is little compared to dad's hand.

I jumped off her looking over at the couch. I started barking at the light skin dude. I think his name is kam. I just don't like him. I barked at him again

Pa pa. King

I stopped barking looking at him

Pa pa. Come

I went to him. He put my leash on

Pa pa. A'mari come walk the dog with me

She got up putting her shoes on and we went outside we walked to this dog park. It's cold and it's some snow in the ground to

Pa pa. What's wrong

I lift my leg up peeing.

A'mari. I don't have parents and Christmas is the day after tomorrow. I want my parents to give me gifts on Christmas and hug me.

She started crying. I finished peeing going to her. I jumped on her. She looked down at me and wiped her tears. I started whimpering. Pa pa pet my head.

A'mari. Why did I have to lose my parents

Pa pa. I don't know but everything happens for a reason

He hugged her kissing her forhead. I went to poop in the grass. After I finshed  they cleaned it putting sanitizer on there hands. We went back to the house. When he took my leash off I looked up at A'mari seeing her taking her boots off. Then I followed her upstairs. I pushed the back of her legs with my head.

A'mari. King stop

I did it again making her fall on her bed. I jumped up there with her sniffing her face. She smiled and rubbed my head.

I yawned laying down falling to sleep.

Jr pov

Dad. I'm finna go get your stepmom from work here the keys if you wanna go to the neighbors house

I nodded I wanna see A'mari. I got my phone FaceTiming her. She answered her eyes are red like she was crying

Me. What's wrong?

She shook her head looking at the phone

Me. You wanna come over?

A'mari. Let me ask my granny

She got up putting the phone down

2 minutes later

A'mari. She said yea

She put her coat on and her boots. And put her shoes on walking outside with her cousins and kam behind her. I went an opened the door for them. Kam, AJ and mark stayed on the porch. The rest of us went upstairs. Once I put something on the tv I pulled A'mari  to the guess room locking the door.

Me. What's wrong?

Tears started rolling down her face

A'mari. This is going to be the first Christmas without my dad and granny.

I pulled her into a hug while she cried. She wiped her tears. I looked into her eyes. I leaned in kissing her lips. And she kissed me back. We pulled away at the same time. I smiled and she did to. I kissed her lips again hugging her tight. She held me tight to. After a few minutes of hugging we went back to my room seating on the bed.

Kanayla. Take that coat off you making me hot

A'mari took her coat off seating on the bed again

Later that night

I hugged A'mari quickly kissing her lips and they left out my dad house. I went upstairs starting a shower

A'mari pov

I went to my room changing into night cloths. I went downstairs seating at the table with my cousins. Granny made fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and koolaid. I praid and started eating. I can't believe I had my first kiss. I finished eating going in the front room. Uncle august, uncle Bryson, uncle Andrew, uncle Austin and pa pa is laughing up here. I went Upstairs walking passed tt ari room here. Her and tt liyah are in here talking. I walked in there

Tt liyah. Hey

I waved seating on the bed.

Tt ari. What's wrong?

I shook my head they hugged me kissing my lips and I went to my room brushed my teeth washing my face then I went to bed.

Kasiyah. Can we watch something on Netflix

I nodded putting my phone on the charger laying in my bed going to sleep fully.
