A'mari pov

Today is thanksgiving granny is finishing up on cooking. She been cooking since yesterday. I put my outfit on. Karly went to the mall and got me, kasiyah and safari matching outfits. I put my shoes on once i finshed getting dressed

We started practicing. We did about 10 times making sure we didn't mess up. We went downstairs I played on my phone laying on that rest. Everyone in here. Someone knocked on the door. Granny came and opened the door. It's jr and this man and  this lady. Granny introduced them to us and introduced us to them. I hugged jr and we sat down

I looked up seeing kam looking at me. I saw kanyla going upstairs. When kam stopped looking at me I went upstairs to find kanyla. She  looked back and smiled

Kanyla. Hey Mari

I waved smiling. She hugged me kissing my lips. We went in the guest room she got her phone off the charger going downstairs. I sat back on the couch playing on my phone I felt someone staring at me. I glanced up from my phone seeing kam staring at me. Damn kid can I get my face back.

Kingston. Mari

I looked over at him

Anthony. Can I play on your phone

Me. Didn't you break your tablet?

He nodded pocking his lip out

I looked back at my phone.

Later

Me, kasiyah and safari is finna perform are dance. Befor we eat. I put the song on the speaker and we started dancing. Once we finished everyone started cheering. We went in the kitchen seating at the tables. Granny made are plates. And everyone started saying what there grateful for

We started eating. I'm not hungry I want my dad. A tear slipped but I hurried and wiped it. I ate the Mac and cheese. I ate it all the mac and cheese and just looked at my food.

Alexander pov

I looked away from eating seeing A'mari just staring at her food. She probably sad. This is the first thanksgiving without her dad. Once everyone finshed eating they went in the front room after getting pie. I sat in the chair next to A'mari.

Me. Mari

She looked at me. She look tired

Me. You ok?

She nodded

Me. You tired?

She nodded laying on the table. I got her plate wrapping it up and putting it in the fridge. When I heard her snoring. I picked her up walking out the kitchen. I took her to her room laying her in the bed tucking her in. She turned over on her side. I took her shoes off kissing her forhead leaving.

I went downstairs going to get pie and I sat with everyone else. While they talked and laughed.
