I sat down in the investigation chair. They had lots of paper.
Man. State your name. Your full name
Me. A'mari Shanay James
Man. Your date of birth and age
Me. September 2nd 2012 and I'm 11 years old
He nodded
Man. So your father was murdered in front of you?
Me. Yes sir
A tear slipped out my eye.
Man. Did he say anything weird before that happened
Me. He said that if he die he loves me and he'll be watching over me
Man. Did you hear him on the phone saying anybody name
Me. Not that I can remember
Man. Did you see any of there faces
Me. No they had black mask over there face
Man. Did any of them say anything to you?
Me. Yes, they said if I tell anyone what they did they'll kill me to.
Man. So you know what they voice sound like?
Me. No I remember what they said but I don't remember there voices
Man. Did your dad say his last words to you?
Me. Yes he said he loves me. Then his eyes rolled back.
Man. You sure you didn't see any faces?
Me. Yes sir
Man. You didn't hear any names?
I shook my my head
Man. Ok we're done here
He let me leave and the security took me back to the front were Montana was waiting for me to come. We left out getting in the car. I looked out the window.
Montana. You hungry?
I nodded not looking away from the window
Montana. Starr House?
I nodded he got me burger king and dropped me off at starr house. I went in seating down eating first. Then I took a shower putting on something comfy cloths
Starr. How did it go
Me. Good
Jr. You ready to see your family?
Me. Yeah
I smiled. I saw Jason and delon yesterday. Starr took me to delon house and I spent the whole day with them. I only have 3 months left here and I'm going to st Louise to live with my granny, Aunties and uncles. And I'll see my family every day. I laid down getting tired. Oh the date for the investigation got pushed back. Today is Feb 20th 2024 and I was supposed to go feb 14 I think. Speaking of Valentine's Day me and jr had a date night exchanged gifts and had a movie night after are date night.
I started falling to sleep.
