Chapter 64

Kam pov

We're at the firework store getting fireworks. New Year's Day is 3 days away. A'mari hasn't said anything all day. They keep asking her what's wrong she just shakes her head. And I found out that her grandpa is a FBI agent

But I didn't tell kentrell. She didn't do nothing wrong or say nothing. I honestly don't agree with what they be doing to her. He beats on her whenever he mad she's literally scared of him. Then she be looking so emotionally drained. I also heard Montana talking to him about how he keep getting calls from her school about her falling into depression.

Nun of that is my business tho.

A'mari pov

I watched as they put the fireworks in the basket. Tt Ashley got my hand. I looked up at her then back at the floor. After they got everything we left after they paid. I laid my head back. Watching as we drove past stuff.

Kasiyah. Your ok?

I shook my head not looking at her. I felt her Get my hand. Safari got my other hand playing with my belly button. A tear slipes out my eye. Kasiyah wiped it away. Once we made it back to granny house I was finna go upstairs but tt terrain picked me up before I could. She sat on the couch a tear rolled out my eye. She forced me to look at her. She looked in my eyes

I looked away from her as more tears left my eyes. I got off her lap about to go upstairs but then granny picked me up. I rolled my eyes as more tears rolled down my face. She stood me up making me look at her. She cupped my face with her hands.

Granny. I love you

I smiled a little. She kissed my lips then my nose. She used her thumbs to wipe my tears.

Granny. You wanna go next door?

I nodded we went back outside going to jr dad house. She rung the door bell and jr answered. He let us in

Granny. I'll be back in a minute

I nodded seating on the couch. She left. Jr sat next to me

Jr. What's wrong

I shook my head. He turned so that he was looking me in my face. I just stared at him. He kissed my lips pulling me into a hug. I laid on his shoulder crying silently. He rubbed my back rocking us side to side.

Jr. You missing your parents

I nodded as more tears rolled out my eyes he kissed my ear. I closed my eyes getting tired. And I fell asleep. I felt him lay me down kissing my lips again.

Later that night

I'm seating on tt terrain lap starting off into space. I felt someone starting at me. I looked seeing Anthony. He rolled his eyes at me. He mumbled something. I went back to starting into space not really thinking about nothing.

Granny. Y'all come eat

Tt put me on the couch going in the kitchen

Anthony. Leav my mommy alone get your own mommy lil ugly girl

I just sat back listening. I don't care anymore.

Anthony. Hello I know you heard me find your own mommy and leave mine alone!!!

I rolled my eyes looking at the tv. He started hitting my legs. I kicked him before looking back at the tv

Tt terrain. You want me to beat yo ass?

He shook his head

Tt terrain. Then sit your bad as down and don't say shit else

He rolled his eyes seating on the couch. Granny brung out plates for Anthony and Kingston

Granny. Come eat

She got my hand. I got up going in the kitchen seating down in between kasiyah and safari. Granny sat a plate in front of me. I just stared at it. She put a fork on my plate and a spoon. I forced myself to eat a little bit I drunk some juice and left going in my room watching Disney Channel. Soon kasiyah and safari came in here with snacks. They locked the door and we watched tv eating snacks. And I listen to them laugh and jock about the show.
