Y/N was not eager about her class ending.
"What's with that look, Soma? You should feel honored I even took the time out of my day to come down here just to get you. Honestly, what would you do without someone like me looking after you?" Monoma began, a step to his feet as he looked forward. A smirk sat on the lower half of his face, seemingly growing by the second along with the apparent gleam in his eyes that showed nothing but ill nature. "Come now, you really must be more considerate towards your friends. You'll hurt someone's feelings someday if you keep acting like a corpse. But if that's the way you want to go about things, then I suppose I'll just have to keep you by my side a bit longer."
"I think I would rather die."
Several students looked over as loud laughter erupted in the hallway, a few stepping back from the incoming blond who held an expression that could only be described as cynical on his face. He let out a drawled-out noise in exasperation, the earlier gleam becoming much more sinister. "What was that? Sorry, I couldn't quite hear you for a second there. Surely, you don't despise my company that much! Don't think I forgot about your little gesture! Deny it all you want but you enjoy my company!"
"Aren't hero students supposed to be nice? What's up with this gap moe," Y/N muttered, a slight pout present on her face. "And stop swinging me around like a sack of potatoes! I can walk perfectly fine on my own!"
The h/c haired girl had been expecting the male's appearance eventually, receiving a text earlier that morning telling her to wait in her classroom for him. She had done so with apparent dismay, Shinso commenting on it at some point during the third period. While she wouldn't say she outright hated the showman's company, Monoma being the only person in the group who could take things seriously despite his rather extravagant nature, she couldn't help but feel a sense of dread in anticipation of the male showing up to her classroom, especially considering his relationship with Shinso wasn't quite the best. She wasn't sure what Monoma's problem was but anytime the purple-haired boy was in the same proximity as him, he seemed to become much more antagonistic in nature. However, there was nothing she could ultimately do to stop the class 1-B boy from acting that way since he rarely listened to other people. She had already agreed to come along anyway so there was no point in backing out now.
To say she had been expecting Monoma to act up was given.
What she hadn't expected was for the blond to haul her body over his shoulder and drag her out of the classroom right as she was saying goodbye to Shinso, interrupting the two mid-conversation.
"Why are you doing this to me?" the female muttered out with brightly illuminated. Her hands went to cover her face as more students looked over, wondering what was going on. Shoving her thoughts aside, she managed a small sigh and allowed her body to sag into the male's arm. He showed no trouble carrying her, his grip rather firm. "I'm surprised your class decided to do training today. I would have thought you guys would have been working against each other more."
"Don't compare us to the likes of those people," Monoma chided in a humorous tone, a short groan escaping from his mouth. "Unlike them, our class has decided it would be better to unite forces instead of working against each other. We help out one another and make sure class A is unable to win the tournament. A foul-proof plan, isn't it? They'll never expect it since they're so preoccupied with themselves."
"I think your plan is dumb but you do you."
"Of course, someone like you would find anything related to the sports festival dumb. I don't see why you're so uninterested in participating. I wouldn't even mind lending a helping hand if you simply asked."
"I think I'll pass on that," she winced, a frown. "It's not that I'm completely uninterested. It's just, I don't see much of a point in giving it my all if I already know I'm going to lose. Even if I wanted to give it my all, that still doesn't change the fact I'm quirkless. I'm at a disadvantage compared to everyone else so what's the point in attempting the impossible. Midoriya and you are the ones who should be more concerned about winning. Snipe-sensei mentioned that if a student in another department did well enough, they could possibly be transferred over and replace one of you guys."
