"I ordered you to send a message to them. Not beat the living daylights out them!" Grace smashed a mug down onto the desk, denting the desk and cracking the mug.
D-15 looked back at her with the same intensity as she had shown. "With all due respect, you weren't there. The one we should've beat to death killed two of our men, and Z-25 nearly killed me."
Simian nodded. "These... Metas must learn there place. Z-25 especially."
"Oh, really and why him especially?" Grace placed her hands together and leaned in. "Also if you're as good as you Meta Hunters say you are then there shouldn't of been any deaths."
D-15 nearly jumped out his chair to show her how good they really were, yet Simian stopped him. "I agree, we underestimated them. It will never happen again."
"Good, now why is Z-25 so important for you to want to take down so badly." It wasn't a question, and everyone knew it.
"He said, 'You don't scare me any more, nor do your masters.' This obviously shows he needs to be crushed before a full out rebellion starts." D-15, didn't mention the fact that he'd been found with two swords in his chest.
The doors to the office opened so suddenly that both Simian and D-15 jumped, ready to kill. Grace however looked like she expected it. Two figures stood in the door way, Jason and Tala.
"No, let them start, let them come and have theirs hopes high." Tala stepped forward into the full light of the room. "Then we crush them like the insects they are."
Jason levitated a small metal pen from Grace's desk. "Then we make examples out of all of them."
Grace smiled, both plans were coming together. "But first let's deal with Andrew."

I lugged Johnson onto the table in the kitchen. His blood staining my skin, and his. I once thought we might've lost him as he coughed up sickening amounts of blood.
I looked at him for a moment before pacing around the kitchen. I had powered down again so no one could track me, yet I didn't care anymore of they could. I needed to relieve my rage some how.
As if sensing my exact train of thought Esparonza spoke. "Hunter, that path only leads to self destruction."
"Esparonza you don't understand. They attacked my team, my friends, my family!" I grabbed a butter knife and threw it into the door, where it imbedded itself into the wood. "They control us because they're terrified of us. Now they will run from us."
Esparonza walked over to the knife, and pulled it out of the door, leaving a deep gouge. "So? What will it accomplish?"
"It'll free us from them."
"Will it, truly?" Esparonza looked at the knife. "You know this path you insist on going down is like a two way street. In the process of trying to prove that you aren't a wild animal that needs to be caged, you will become that animal."
I was infuriated. I knew she was right, but I just wanted to stick it to them. Their brutality showed how little they cared for us, and how terrified they were.
"Fine, I won't wage war against them, but I am getting our team back." I walked off to find Genie.

Andrew bit his tongue until he tasted blood, and felt it running down his sore, dry, throat. The pain of his own heart being carved out of his chest beyond measure. Along with the combined pain of being shot in the head it was a wonder he was still alive, or even awake. That was the only fact he wasn't in reality, and that was the only fact. Everything including the pain was as real - possibly even more so - in this Virtual Reality.
"P... pl... please stop!" Andrew gasped as another wave of pain hit.
Grace hidden in real reality laughed bitterly. "Like you did to my daughters?! Oh, wait you didn't show them mercy!"
Grace aggressively twisted the dial into the red zone. Within seconds Andrew began to convulse as the pain soared to new heights. As he was forced to stay conscience he began to froth at the mouth.
"I truly hope you survive the experience. I want you to see the resurrection of my daughters." Grace shrugged.
Andrew withdrew into himself reserving all his strength to shield himself, and to wait to attack back. He knew he shouldn't of asked, but he had hoped she wasn't like the rest. Obviously she was just as bad. Now he would show her the training she had required of him personally.

"Well you were able to fry the entire suit." Genie tossed my armor on the table.
I taped the dead armor. "How though? I thought it was supposed to adapt to my body."
"It is." Genie spun around grabbing some soldiering equipment, and a pair of clothing needles. "It's just that you're body is adapting quicker than the suit can."
I peeled of the rare metal bands. "Can it be battle ready within a 3 day period?"
"It'll be hard, but yes it can be."
I looked at the suit one last time. It's arc reactors had shattered, and the micro mesh had burned out. The only things that had remained unharmed was the pieces of metal.
"Hunter, what you are planing is dangerous and reckless. But I'm with you all the way." Genie had grabbed a medical kit, and was heading towards the kitchen.
I followed her. I wanted to make sure Johnson was going to be okay. I had no doubt that he was going to help me with my plans.
"Hunter stop!"
I stopped so fast that I fell flat on my face. After hitting the ground - hard, I looked around for the source of the painful command. I didn't see anything, or anyone.
"Really Hunter? Can't you tell the difference between a telepathic voice and a real one?" The voice chided.
Suddenly it clicked. "Esparonza?"
"Duh. You really need to work on your mental skills." I could almost hear the grin on her face. "Meet me in my quarters I have a surprise waiting for you."
"W... why?"
"It's the only safe place to talk."

Well that's another short chapter. I really need to try and make longer ones, don't I?
This time we are going to do something a tad different. Instead of asking you guys questions, you guys are to ask me some questions that I'll answer. It doesn't even have to be about the book (though I'd prefer it to be.) Sounds fun does it not?
