Everyone was now gathered in one room. Lucas sat in front of the couch where Alex and Max sat. Steve, Nancy and Dustin sat around the rest of the room. Alex sat with her hand gripping Max's and her head resting on her shoulder.

"If he finds out where we are, Will he send the dogs after us?" Max asks the boys as she subconsciously uses her thumb to stroke Alex's knuckles while holding her hand.

"He won't find out," Lucas insists, looking at her.

"yeah, but... if he does?" Max asks, worry growing in her tone.

"Judgement day."

The lights started to flicker and that woke Alex up from her short nap on Max's lap again. The other girl didn't mind and just played with Alex's hair as she slept, their hands staying connected the whole time.

Alex felt like she was going insane. It's like she can hear a voice in her head that isn't her own, its tangled with another persons. Will? Then it hit her, they're connected through the mind flayer, she can hear whatever Will's saying in the shed through their shared bond, Alex wouldn't lie, it scared her, the way she felt like she could feel Will thrashing in her mind. His screams amplified.

She tried to tone it out and let go of Max's hand, putting both her hands over her ears, isolating the sound in her head. It was too loud, the lights too bright so she squeezed her eyes shut.

Everyone turned to look at the girl, not sure what was going on but whatever it was, it had to be bad. Max put her hand on Alex's shoulder instead and rubbed circles on her back, trying to calm the other girl down.

Steve rushed over and started talking to her before realising she couldn't hear him so he put a hand on her knee. They had suspected this might happen but not too the same degree, they thought it would just be a scratch in the back of her head, like a tickle but not a full blown panic attack.

Alex tried not to concentrate on Will's screams or the way she felt his movement. Instead she focused on the smaller part of his voice, the one that was speaking normally, trying to say something, or she focused on Mike's voice, he was telling stories to Will in an attempt to get him to calm down.

Suddenly Hopper ran in and grabbed a piece of paper. Everyone went over to him and left Alex on the couch, there isn't anything they can do to help her anyway.

"What happened?" Dustin asks as hopper grabs a crayon and writes down dots and lines.

. . . . . . - . .

"We think he's talking, just not with words," Hopper says as he writes it down.

"What is that?" Steve asks as Hopper starts to write down what Will said in Morse code.

"Morse code," The boys all say in unison, making Steve give them a baffled look. Hopper translated all they have so far.

H E R E

"Here," Everyone says together.

"Will's still in there," Hopper says, "He's talking to us."

They spent the better part of half an hour translating Will's messages through Morse code.
