You and Mitsuya charged in while Hakkai stood frozen watching, Mitsuya stopped right in front of Taiju to look back at the taller male who hadn't moved a single inch "Hakkai?" "I'm sorry Taka-chan" 'Ehh?' You grabbed Mitsuya by the back of his uniform and pulled him away as Taiju tried to punch him "Eyes on your opponent Takashi!" He nodded with a gulp "Right!" Taiju laughed "What were you two expecting from Hakkai?" You heard Inui say something to Chifuyu before being cut off abruptly, you looked to the sides only to see that Yato had punched Kokonoi after he sent Takemichi down and Fuyuhiko had hit Inui with a bat "How did you find us, Fuyuhiko?!" He rolled his eyes "I knew you would try something" he looked around "At least you didn't do anything you might regret in front of them" you huffed and held Mitsuya close to you as he collapsed on your arms.

'shit this is bad... At least Yato and Fuyuhiko are here now...' You flinched when you heard Hakkai yell at Taiju and pull out a knife "I can... Even I can... I'm gonna do it!" You watched in panic as Hakkai charged at Taiju 'No, no, no-' You looked at the unconscious Mitsuya on your arms 'What do I-' your shoulders relaxed and it became easier to breath once Takemichi stopped Hakkai "Don't you see?! If you go through with this you'll become an irredeemable bastard!" You carried Mitsuya to the spot where Yuzuha was resting in and set him down "You know this isn't right, this isn't how you fight back" Your shoulders tensed as Takemichi gave you a side glance before turning to Taiju.

"I'm gonna show you what it means to fight back!" You felt your heart beating faster at that 'What... WAIT WAIT NO- [NAME] THINK ABOUT HINATA! AND- AND AKANE! YES HINATA AND AKANE!!' You focused your thoughts on the girls you knew to push away the thoughts about Hinata's boyfriend who started to plague your mind.

"Huh? Still haven't learned your lesson, you little shit?" Taiju looked down on Takemichi "I "haven't learned my lesson"?" You watched as he got into a fighting position and got ready to go in just in case he passed out or asked for help "That's my only redeeming quality!" 

"Let's go Taiju!!" You looked away as he kept trying to hit Taiju only to fail and get hit instead "Takemitchy!" "I'm not done yet!!" You held Hakkai's arm to keep him from interfering, this was Takemichi's fight now...  You covered your mouth and looked down, Takemichi's face was completely bloody while Taiju was just fine "How many times do I have to punch you till you're satisfied?" You gritted your teeth 'I should've killed him when I had the chanc-' 

"Not gonna lose"

You furrowed your eyebrows and looked at the blonde "Why... Why won't you give up... You're too weak for this" 'No...' "You've done enough, please just stop this!" 'He's not weak...' you drowned out everyone else as you stared at Takemichi's back 'He's anything but weak' 

"Taiju... I'm gonna defeat you..."

"And take control of the black dragons!"

You smiled at that 'I'll make sure you win... Even if I have to knock everyone here out' Your hands reached into your pockets and you let go of Hakkai, he was too scared of his brother to do anything "I'm not done yet!" "Stop it Takemitchy... You can't change anything!!" Takemichi got hit so hard that he was sent flying, but you were there to keep him up as he stopped near you and Hakkai "Can you keep going Hanagaki?" You helped him regain his footing and he nodded "You're wrong Hakkai... You are the one who won't change anything" and so he charged back in.

Chifuyu yelled at Takemichi to stop, yelled at you to help... But it wasn't your place to do so, this wasn't your fight, if you interfered now everything Takemichi had said to Hakkai would be in vain... You would only help if Takemichi was the one who asked.

When Takemichi finally managed to land a punch he was sent flying and Taiju fell on his knees "Even the smallest chance..." Hakkai begged Takemichi to stop "That I can change the future..."  Takemichi staggered and you helped him stand Then isn't it worth risking my life for?"

"Hakkai... Fighting on isn't painful..."

"What hurts more than anything..."

You felt your heart going crazy as you looked at the expression on Takemichi's face... The smile he gave to Hakkai...

"Is loneliness..."

"You can talk to me about anything... Were friends aren't we?" You kept your eyes on Takemichi even when Hakkai fell on his knees while crying "Takemitchy... Help me" slowly your heart went back to normal as your expression turned blank "Leave it to me Hakkai" he smiled once again...

a smile so beautiful... That would never be directed at you...

THE PAST...

The blonde girl grunted as her back hit the back of the school, she looked up at the second years with a scowl "Not so cocky now huh?" The older guy kicked her before looking st his friend "Are you sure she's the one who beat Yamamoto up?" The guy beside him nodded "Yeah, I guess she's not a good fighter when there's more people against he-" "HEY WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!?" They flinched and turned around to look at the girl who was being pulled back by a guy with short [H/c] hair "Hikari they are delinquents!" The delinquents who were previously ganging up on Yuelan turned to Hikari and bowed "HIKARI-SENPAI!!" 'Eh?' 

"What are you guys doing to this girl?!" Yuelan didn't know what the girl before her had done but the delinquents looked so tame now, not even the guy who was with Hikari knew what was happening as his girlfriend pulled Yuelan into a hug "Hikari-senpai, we were just defending the pride of our friend-" "But you aren't supposed to gang up on someone! You should fight fair!!" "WERE SORRY HIKARI-SAN!!" "Tell her you guys are sorry!" They looked at Yuelan with a scowl before each of them sighed and apologize "Ah... It's- it's ok?" Hikari clapped "Great! Come with me blondie!" She held Yuelan's hand and pulled the blonde with her.

Anyway- yeah... In the end I couldn't make the Mc appear much in this arc... When the Black dragons arc ends I'll need to take a break since I want to make an arc for the Mc before the Tenjiku arc.

I hate this chapter too...
