I close my eyes for a moment because I'm exhausted to death. I was up all night reading all kinds of books about the Wild Hunt in Theo's car, and everything about it. I didn't find anything. Nothing useful, which eats away at me even more.

I can't even remember the last time I ate anything. Maybe that was the last time I had lunch with Liam, even when he remembered me.

I've also noticed that Scott and our entire pack are working something out. Something other than disappearing students for the supernatural.

Well, their pack. I think I don't belong there anymore.

I wanted to ask them what was going on, but they wouldn't tell me. And why is that?

They don't know I'm a werewolf and they don't even know me.

I tried talking to Malia and Lydia about who I was, but it had the same effect as talking to Scott and Liam.

They don't remember me, and now they think I'm quite weird, but that's the last thing that bothers me.

It's the helplessness that's killing me the most. You know, you might tell yourself I'm weak or something, but so far every night I've fallen asleep crying.

I took life for granted, but when I lost it, I knew what it was like to have your whole life fall apart. There's a cough, so I lift my head up.

Mr. Douglas is holding a metal rod, which he raises up. "Power. The ability, to control things. This metal, has no power. It's small. Weak. Insignificant. Is there anything we can do to change that?"

Even though I know the answer, I don't raise my hand up. It seems heavy to me. Corey picks it up instead of me.

The teacher looks at Corey. "Corey, whatchu got?"

"We can add electricity."

He smiles at him proudly. "Exactly."

I look sideways again for a moment and see Hayden holding Liam's hand. My heart sinks into my stomach and although I suspected something was going on between them, seeing it actually hurts a lot more.
