Title: Mess-With-Donnie Day

Both me and certifi3dl0ver are going to be doing a oneshot like this, this is just how I thought it would go - so this is my style (obvi). Hope you like it!! (and the author I tagged is also a great writer of tmnt oneshots, I suggest reading them).

It's been so... calm since we stopped the other dimension Shred-Head and Kraang-guy from destroying the world. Bebop and Rocksteady still try to call and give us news on what they've found, but it's just check-ins. Besides that it's normal, the guys are finally able to grow and be a bit of normal teens... that know ninjutsu. They're not completely normal, but they're at least getting a taste of the normal life now that nothing's happening. Which is why I've been visiting a bit more than usual and telling them about my day.

More of lately I've been needing some help on science, so I've been having to ask Donnie for help with it and sometimes it's a bit awkward. Mainly because of me being a bit nervous since I don't know what to say when I'm around him. I just always feel like he's so cute and I get lost with looking at him with his features. His cute gap tooth, his chuckle, his eyes- a blush goes onto my face as I softly facepalm. My t-phone ringing got my attention, so I move my hand and see that it's actually Donnie calling me.

Breathing in and out I answer it "hey-o, Don-nay!.. what's up?" I say and mentally facepalm and how stupid I sound answering the phone. Donnie just chuckles saying "are you forgetting something?" I tried to think on that. Looking around my room I try to see if anything helped me remember- "you wanted help on science. That, and you were gonna help me with an experiment" Donnie interrupts my thoughts. Realization hit as I grab my backpack saying "sh-shoot, I'll try to be there as soon as I can, Donnie."

Before he could say anything I just run out and start making my way through the sewers already to get to the lair. 'I have got to stop daydreaming' I think to myself as I tread on, but along the way I heard something explode. My eyes widen as I walk in and see both Donnie and Mikey covered in soot as they come out of the lab. "Mikey!!" Donnie says angrily in his deepened voice, my face became so warm hearing it. Nervously biting my lip I try to fan down my face, but Mikey just laughs as he looks up at Donnie.

"GOOD LUCK CATCHING ME, DONNIE-" "you're gonna get it!" Donnie yells out again and starts chasing Mikey around. I drop my bag as I put my hand over my mouth and ran to the bathroom, in there I shut the door a bit loudly. That I couldn't help, but I slowly slide to the floor as I let out a small laugh and hard swallow. 'What's with the deep voice again?.. he only did that when he was really mad at Vizioso.' Barely standing up I splash some water on my face and softly sigh, a knock to the door scared me though.

A small yelp left me as I got in a bit of a fighting stance out of instinct before hearing Leo say "oh, I didn't know someone was in there. You good though?" Blinking I just walk out saying "definitely! I gotta go, bye!!" I finally walk back out. Though he mumbled something before the door closed again, so I just keep walking and grab my bag. Looking around I see Mikey behind the couch as he's on his shell while groaning before chuckling. Playfully rolling my eyes I say "what'd you do this time, Mike?.." "scared Donnie and something poofed up into that black stuff."

"Soot, and why'd you scare Donnie?" "It's too easy, dudette!" Mikey says amused as he stays on his shell, but with that I walk to the lab. In there Donnie's cleaning up the soot that's on his desk and the floor a bit-... he hasn't cleaned up what's on him. I side smile as I say "hey, Donnie" he froze before looking at me and nervously laughs. "Sorry, it's gonna take me a bit to get this cleaned up enough to study" Donnie apologizes. Chuckling I say "it's okay, I can help if you want-" "n-no! I got it, don't worry - just go hang out with one of the other guys."

He was looking at me a bit nervous, so I just tilt my head confused and walk out since it seems like he doesn't want me in here. Sitting down on the couch I just start to twirl around a kunai that was left here out of boredom. A loud crash happens in the lab not too long after I sat down which got my eyes to widen as I look to the side. Standing up I went to see what happened- but I see Raph laughing as he stumbled out of the lab. That confused me as I was about to ask him what happened, but Donnie had the most angry look in his eyes.

Donnie's glaring down at Raph as he says "I told you not to touch my stuff, Raphael!!" My face felt warm instantly as my legs got wobbly. Hard swallowing I try to get my legs to stop when they just gave out on me and I fell on my knees. I put my hand over my mouth as I try to calm down, but once I did this it got so quiet. Someone grabs my chin and moves my hand as they look at me- the color of their eyes and mask tells me it's Donnie. My face got even warmer as his eyes widen "(Y/n), I think I need to give you a checkup! Come on."

He pulls me to my feet and I almost fell- so he helped me stay steady before looking out the door saying "don't come in!!" With that the door closed. There's still a bit of soot on his desk, but he leads me to his chair and sits me down. I look down to not look at him, but Donnie says "just take deep breaths, I gotta get my kit." Donnie starts to walk away, but I grab his wrist which made him stay in his spot. "D-Donnie... I'm not sick or anything" I barely get out as I try to still calm my nerves after hearing his voice.

"Why is your face red then and your legs weak?" Donnie asks confused, so I shut my eyes tight as I say "b-because... ugh, this is hard." "What is?" "Me admitting that I like you! Alright!?" I yell out a bit and feel my blush going down. It got quiet which made me look up at him and let go of his wrist, his eyes are wide as he has a soft blush now. "W-What?.." Donnie asks while looking at me, so I look to the side at this "I've.. liked you for a while now. One thing that always gets me a bit weak in the knees... is your voice when it deepens like that."

Donnie kneeled down in front of me saying "are you serious?" I just nod as I finally look back at him "y-yeah..." "how long?" He asks which confused me. "How long what?" "How long have you liked me?" "Uh, maybe since the Farmhouse." I softly chuckle at this saying "wow, that was about a year ago, right?.." "maybe almost two." "Yeah... I'm sorry, I just had to get that out if your deep voice is back" I say and move my hair a bit. Donnie caressed the side of my face a bit before leaning in and his lips are on mine.

My eyes widen at this, but all he did was that soft peck before leaning back "I-I've liked you since I first seen you" Donnie admits. That got me to hard swallow "r-really?" "Yeah... I guess we've both been harboring feelings." We're sharing a look before slowly leaning in- "ooo, get some Donnie!!" Leo says from the doorway. I flinch away as I look back to see him at the doorway as he has a smirk, so Donnie growls at this. "Leonardo!!" Donnie yells out, but before he could get far I grab his wrist again which made him look back at me.

"Why are your bros being this way?" I ask confused since this isn't a normal thing, so Donnie shakes his head with his eyes closed. Rubbing the bridge of his beak a bit he says "it's annual Mess-With-Donnie day." "Mess-With-Donnie day?" "Yeah, to not pick on eachother daily we just have one day a year for eachother. Mine's today... now if you excuse me - LEO, I SWEAR! YOU COULDN'T HAVE LET US JUST HAVE ONE MOMENT?!" Donnie yells out. My face went warm again as my grip wasn't tight enough to keep him here and he ran out to chase Leo around.
