Raph x reader (Song fic)

Title of the oneshot: The Middle

No one's p.o.v

"Take a seat
Right over there, sat on the stairs

(Y/n) and Raph were all banged up.... no; they didn't get done with training, no; they didn't get back from a mission or from patrolling. Thing is they had another fight, and Raph's bros were tired of their hate/love friendship. So they told them to either end their friendship, or sit down on the front lair steps and talk it out. Which is where they are right now, being so quiet as they're back to back with their arms crossed. Really mad at the other over the argument they had over who was the better person... they each thought it was the other- [Raph said (Y/n), (Y/n) said Raph].

"The cabinets are bare, and I'm unaware
Of just how we got into this mess, got so aggressive
I know we meant all good intentions"

The argument even got so far to them wanting to hurt the other.... it's not even a joke, some parts of the lair are trashed. (Y/n) sighs and just now decided to lean against Raph's shell as she says "ya know, there's a reason on why I was so mad." Raph sighs and says "yeah, me too" it got so quiet after that, but then they start to hit the other on the arm. "JUST TALK IT OUT!!" Donnie yells out angered that he can hear the hits from the lab. The two sitting just laugh and (Y/n) sighs saying "ya know, you're not the easiest to deal with, Raphie."

Raph rolls his eyes "it's not like you're a total walk in the park either" (Y/n) then says "that's not what I was saying-" "then what were you sayin?" Raph asks annoyed. (Y/n) looks down saying "I only took the argument so far is because I think so highly of you. More than I could ever care about myself-" "man, I thought I was the only one" Raph admits. Then he put his hand on his forehead as they both laugh a little, but it got a bit quiet as they smile shyly. Leo and Mikey are watching in the shadows, texting to the other their thoughts on the talk so far.

"So pull me closer
Why don't you pull me close?
Why don't you come on over?
I can't just let you go"

(Y/n) was the first to say "ya know, we argue so much" a few tears started to leave her eyes as she sits there, Raph didn't know about it. Yet he looks down sadly saying "yeah... I'd understand if you'd actually want to ditch this friendship." "No!" "Well, why the shell not?! You just said we argue!" "I didn't say we did it all the time. Half the time we're not even together, and I just want to be with you-" "ya mean to fight over pizza? Oh yeah. Highlight of my life!" Raph starts actually trying to argue with (Y/n)... he doesn't want to keep yelling.

Yet he's doing this right now since he thinks (Y/n)'s doing so much over such a "small" friendship, but (Y/n) shakes her head. "Raph, I'm serious!" "Well, so am I! I don't want to keep arguin with ya, (Y/n)!!" The girl froze. Raph did too when realization hit "y-you... actually called me by my name" (Y/n) whispers out. The two got quiet again at this, afraid one of them would start another argument with someone they love.

"Oh, baby!.. why don't you just meet me in the middle?
I'm losing my mind just a little
So why don't you just meet me in the middle?
In the middle!~"

The two friends were wondering how the other could even love them, they argued so much, but (Y/n) is the one who's trying to tell him. Words aren't either of their strong suits, so it's kind of hard for either of them to say what's going on. Their hearts are even beating so hard in their chests right now, they're wondering if the other can hear it.

"Ohh.. take a step
Back for a minute, into the kitchen
Floors are wet"

Their fight occurred in the kitchen, it started off with words, then it turned into getting the other annoyed with water. Whether it be cups full, or it be with bottles of water from the fridge - whichever was closer.

"And taps are still running, dishes are broken
How did we get into this mess? Got so aggressive

I know we meant all good intentions"

Honestly, (Y/n) ran out of water, so she grabbed a plate.... which is why the lair now needs new plates if they ever want to eat like regular people again. (Y/n) finally says "Raph, I don't know about you, but I know that I can't just ditch you for this." "Then what do I do?!" Raph asks out angry, not knowing how fast the words are leaving his mouth. "I don't want ta keep yellin at you just because I can't talk about the truth!!" Raph yells out while grabbing his head. (Y/n) looked at Raph from over her shoulder "what 'truth'??" (Y/n) asks confused... poor oblivious girl.

"So pull me closer
Why don't you pull me close?
Why don't you just come on over?
I can't just let you go-o~"

M~ FINALLY, he's finally admitting his feelings!!

L~ don't celebrate just yet Mikey...

Raph felt himself tense at this, but (Y/n) sits up straight and leans her head back, making sure she can feel Raph's head behind hers. The blush on his face is evident for Mikey to see as (Y/n) says "Raph, whatever you're hiding.. just stop. We tell eachother everythin, whether it be really personal, even how heartbroken you were about Mona." Raph rolls his eyes saying "okay, I lied about that... I realized Mona isn't the one for me." (Y/n) felt so confused, but she sighs 'now or never, if I don't tell him... the guys will make sure we can't talk to the other.'

"Raph, I'm gonna be completely honest with you right now" (Y/n) says as she felt her eyes get glossy, so Raph nods his head. "Go right ahead" he answers out, but (Y/n) breathes in deeply and says "I want to look you in the eyes when I say it." 'Oh my shell, when did I get this type of confidence??' (Y/n) thought to herself shocked. Raph blushed, but shook his head to clear it as he says "sure, knock yourself out, shorty." (Y/n) rolls her eyes softly as a small smile, and the two finally faced the other, Raph's looking a bit confused.

(Y/n) on the other hand wouldn't (and couldn't) lose her nervous smile as she looks Raph in the eyes, which was why Raph was confused. "Raph, after our entire time of growing into best friends... late night talks, late night walks-" "don't forget the texts." The two share another laugh as (Y/n) nods saying "exactly... it always hurts that we argue a lot. And I mean it really hurts! Becaus-.... b-because...." (Y/n) was now deciding to get tongue tied as she looks at Raph. He's looking at her both confused and concerned wrapped into one, but she could tell he's genuinely worried.

The tears finally decided to fall from (Y/n)'s eyes as she has flashbacks of every fun moment she's had with Raph. Raph thought quick and pulled (Y/n) in for a hug, so she instantly hugged him back tight. "Raph, you may not like this answer, but... I-I lov..." (Y/n) tried to say, but stuttered as she cried. Raph didn't want to get his hopes up "you... what?" Raph asks, trying not to sound happy. "I love you! I've been in love with you after a month of knowing you!!" (Y/n) finally got out as she trembled.

Raph's smile is slowly growing huge as he hugs (Y/n) tighter and says "I... didn't think you'd actually love a mutant turtle like me." "Dude, quit kiddin yourself, you're hot-" (Y/n) got interrupted by Raph chuckling softly. (Y/n) took that the wrong way, and tried to hide her face in his shoulder "I-I'm sorry for this. It's kind of obvious that you don't like me back, I mean... from how much we argue-" "(Y/n), just stop. Ya got it all wrong" Raph interrupts and makes sure (Y/n) is now looking him in the eyes.

He felt absolutely heart broken at the sight of her being sad, but he pulls her in for a kiss, (Y/n) gasped (since she didn't expect it). Which gave Raph the perfect moment to start a passionate french kiss, and (Y/n) finally starts to kiss back. Leo and Mikey's eyes widen, but they went full ninja mode back into the lair without the two noticing. They ran into the lab and shut the door quietly as they're looking like they're either grossed out or really shocked. Donnie turns in his swivel chair and raised an eye-ridge "what's up with you two??" "I don't wanna talk about it."

"Well... don't expect friendship arguments anymore, Donnie-" "YES!-" "because there's most likely gonna be couple arguments." .... "oh fuck-"
