Y/n's pov

"Max it's happening again why is it happening again?" I panted. The air in that place was thick and made it hard to breath. My sharp breaths echoed.

Max stood up slowly, as did I.

"I've been waiting to hear those words, Max."
Billy's voice rattled through the cemetery.

His dark figure approached and tears formed in Max's eyes.

Max swallowed and started to shake a little bit. My face fell pale and sickly.

"Waiting. So very long."

Billy emerged from the blue fog in none other than the clothes he had died in, still bloody and looking fresh.

——

"Wake up!" Steve shook the two girls simultaneously.

He clapped in their faces anxiously, letting out a "hey, hey, hey, hey!"

From the car, Dustin and Lucas looked to where Steve and the girls were, hearing Steve's worry and sensing the wrong.

"Y/n! Max! Wake up!" Steve raised his voice. "Max! Wake up! Y/n!"

"Oh." Lucas shook his head quickly. "Something's wrong."

"Guys!" Steve shouted at the two boys by the car, still holding onto and shaking the girls shoulders.

The two boys sprung into action, sprinting up the hill towards the grave.

——

"But it wasn't the full truth was it, Max?"

Gelatinized dark blood and snot hung and dripped from Billy's mouth as he stepped closer and closer to us.

Max's breathing grew shakier and I gripped her hand tightly, drawing Billy's attention to it.

His eyes twitched and I was thrown away from her forcefully into the ground. I crawled backwards fearfully and ran into a cobweb. I was breathing so quickly now, freaking out on the ground as my best friend was being confronted by her dead step brother.

Billy reached a hand up and stroked Max's cheek with one thumb. Max sniffled and cried.

"You know I think there's a part of you, buried somewhere deep, that wanted me to die that day."

The expression he gave her was almost offended and disappointed.

Max started to shake her head rapidly.

"-That was maybe..even... relieved. Happy."

"Billy, no that's not true." Max stuttered.

A fog started to form in front of me, blocking me from Max. All of a sudden I was far away from her in the cemetery, and the ground started moving under me.

I shrieked as the earth on the grave I was thrust onto
started to upturn. A cold hand grabbed my wrist and held me down as the figure emerged from the grave.

Barry.

I started squirming and crying as his cold dead eyes looked at me.

"It's your fault, Y/n. It's all your fault. You made me die."

Dead Barry's grip on my wrist tightened and I started to tear up more, choking on my words.
