Daniel's eye flew open before his breaths picked up. He took several breaths back to back as he got prepared to sit up. However, he saw the pink and black curls on his chest, so getting up wasn't an option without waking her up.
After looking up at the white ceiling, Daniel tried to regulate his breathing to a normal rate. His quicks breath could possibly wake her, and it was the last thing Daniel wanted at the moment. Analise would try to get him to talk. And how could he tell her he had a dream that the man he killed turned around and killed her? Daniel never planned to tell Analise about the people he killed-he hadn't even told his mother-and he wouldn't inform her about the dream either.
Suddenly, Daniel regret everything he'd done last night. The kiss, fingering her, convincing her to leave Jordan. He wished he could turn back in time and stop everything from happening. Analise became another victim in one of his dreams, and he never wanted to see her face in a dream like that again. He should've left her alone to begin with because she'd only become one more person he'd have to worry about someone hurting.
Daniel reached for the nightstand and felt for his phone in the darkness of his bedroom. Once he found the device, he brought it to his face. The bright screen beamed down on his face and read 7:14am. He had to be to work at eight, so slipping from under Analise and leaving wouldn't seem too out of the ordinary to her.
He managed to slip out of Analise's hold to go to the bathroom without waking her up. When Daniel got to the bathroom, he popped two Percs before showering and getting himself ready for the day. He did all of this without waking Analise, but of course, she woke up on his way out of the room.
"Daniel?" She mumbled, so he stopped in his tracks at the door.
"Yeah?" he asked, keeping his eyes fixed on the hallway.
"Where are you going?"
"To work. I told you I work at eight."
"Okay, but you weren't going to say 'bye' or anything?"
"I just wanted to let you sleep since you got ya class and a race today. Still call me when you get to the studio."
