Daniel sat in the stairwell at River Park Towers with his group of friends. Bando was right beside him, rolling up a blunt on his phone. There were two blunts already in rotation, and Daniel waited patiently for one to get back to him. In the meantime, his phone had his full attention.

Nine days had passed since Daniel, Bando, and Tdot started staying in the AirBnb they got in Hoboken. That meant ten days had passed since Daniel and Analise officially broke up. So far, Daniel showed no signs of depression or being heartbroken, but he had no real reason to be sad about anything. Their relationship didn't end on completely horrible terms, but he felt like Analise revealed her true feelings towards him. For that, he felt bad about none of it. If anything, he was more secure in his decision to break up with her.

Aside from the the first two days right after their breakup, Daniel and Analise made a point to text or FaceTime every day. Daniel made sure to check in on Analise's mental health since Rae'Lynn wouldn't always be around. With the way things ended, Daniel worried about the mental toll it would take on Analise. Whenever they FaceTimed, she seemed fine, but it wouldn't stop him from checking in on her every day. Analise was high risk for postpartum, and he'd hate for the break up to lead her down that road. Along with checking in on Analise, he got regular updates on Alani.

The only downside about their breakup would be that Daniel couldn't be around Alani 24/7. Everything had to go through Analise which frustrated Daniel, but there was nothing he could do about it. He didn't want to stay unhappy in a relationship for constant access to his daughter. It wouldn't be fair to any party in the equation.

"Niggas wanna go to the studio?" Edai asked from the step below Daniel.

"What studio we going to? I tried to go to one of our regulars, but our producer booked up for today," Bando said.

"I'm up to go to the studio, but Ion wanna go nowhere ass," Lee spoke.

Bando nudged Daniel, causing Daniel to turn his head to look at him. "Don't that the nigga Aaron engineer?"

"Oh, word. He do," Tdot informed.

"Ion know if he good, though," Daniel reminded.

"You mind textin' Jakiyah?"
