Analise laid in the bed facing Daniel. His hands were on her stomach, rubbing over bare skin. While she was in excruciating pain from the constant contractions, Daniel laid in awe and excitement for the birth of their daughter. His eagerness made her feel guilty as she still felt nothing but disconnection with Alani.

After doing research, Analise learned it was possible for pregnant women to become depressed before they gave birth. She figured that was the cause of her current moods and disconnect. Upon discovering this, it became reason she knew she'd leave in a few days. The last thing on her mind was raising a child, especially in a broken home.

Daniel was being nice and communicating more, but Analise knew he acted different in attempts to get her to stay and because Alani was on the way. Everyone had been trying to get Analise to change her mind. However, Analise was sure in her decision, so their attempts weren't effective. They annoyed her more than anything.

Danielle entered the room, interrupting Analise's thoughts.

"They'll be in here in a second to see how you're doing," Danielle announced. "The nurses and your midwife don't seem to be too worried with you only being 37 weeks."

"That's good," Analise mumbled.

Analise was due for the 28th, but today was the 8th, making her a few weeks early. Her midwife and doctor weren't sure what sent Analise into labor early, yet they had no worry about it, so Analise found comfort in that. No matter what, she wanted Alani to be safe and healthy. With her pregnancy, Analise Googled and researched everything. She knew the risks of preterm labor, leading her to have an anxiety attack when her contractions first started. Analise thought she had more time, especially because she made plans to leave Bryxton right after she gave birth. Now with Alani here early, it messed up her plans.

"I'm ready for her to come," Daniel said.

"You and me both. Pregnancy sucks," Analise replied.
