Matilda awoke in the morning to the sound of soft guitar playing coming from the music room. She got up and tip-toed to the doorway of the room. She saw Harry, shirtless, sitting on the floor with his guitar. She leaned against the doorway and watched him write something down then sing again.

Just stop your crying
It's a sign of the times
Welcome to the final show
Hope you're wearing your best clothes
You can't bribe the door on your way to the sky
You look pretty good down here
But you ain't really good

If we never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets
We never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets

Just stop your crying
It's a sign of the times
We gotta get away from here
We gotta get away from here
Just stop your crying
It'll be alright
They told me that the end is near
We gotta get away from here

Just stop your crying
Have the time of your life
Breaking through the atmosphere
And things are pretty good from here
Remember everything will be alright
We can meet again somewhere
Somewhere far away from here

We never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets
We never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets

Just stop your crying
It's a sign of the times
We gotta get away from here
We gotta get away from here
Stop your crying
Baby, it'll be alright
They told me that the end is near
We gotta get away from here

We never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets
We never learn, we been here before
Why are we always stuck and running from
The bullets?
The bullets

We don't talk enough
We should open up
Before it's all too much
Will we ever learn?
We've been here before
It's just what we know

Stop your crying, baby
It's a sign of the times
We gotta get away
We got to get away
We got to get away
We got to get away
We got to get away
We got to, we got to, away
We got to, we got to, away
We got to, we got to, away

Matilda slowly clapped her hands. Startled, Harry looked back quickly and smiled lightly when he saw Matilda.

"Tilly, babe, you scared me."

"That was beautiful."

He grinned and patted his lap. Matilda walked over and sat with him, then he began, "I don't know.. it just came to me. I got up at like four this morning. I was eating cereal and I had this tune in my head that was bothering me so I came in here and this happened."

Matilda nodded and looked at him. "You should put it on the album." She said and he smiled. "I was thinking of making it one of the singles." He said and she nodded.

"Want to eat some breakfast?" She asked and he nodded. "Always." He said.

She laughed and they got up, walking over to the kitchen together. She looked through his cabinets and smiled big, turning around to look at him. "What's that mischievous smile for?" He asked with a wide smile of his own.

"I want to make blueberry pancakes. From scratch. I have a recipe from my grandma in North Carolina. Every summer I go see her for a week or two and we always make them. Finally this past summer, she let me have the recipe and it's on my phone. Can I please make them?" She said, getting on her knees beside the counter where he was sitting. He laughed.

"Get up, Tilly, of course you can."

...

After about almost two hours, Matilda's Carolina Blueberry Pancakes were finally done. She served herself and Harry a plate then stared at him across the table. He looked up at her and laughed.

"Can I help you, dear?"

"I'm waiting for you to try it, baby."

He laughed and tried it then made a shocked face, immediately going for more.

"Oh my God."

"It's good right?"

"It's not just good, it's the best damn pancakes I've ever had in my life. I need to meet your Grandma and thank her for making me a new person with these pancakes." He said and she laughed.

"We'll go this summer together, I'm sure she will adore you. She's my mom's mom and she adored my dad, she still does even. She's like me and doesn't understand why mom left him for my shitty stepdad but I digress." She said and he grabbed her hand from across the table.

"If my career fades out, we are opening a breakfast diner and you will make these. Deal?"

She laughed and nodded, shaking his hand.

"Deal."
