Kalianna and her older cousin Sydney are talking as they make Suteki Donburi together.
Twenty minutes later, they sit down around the dining table with their bowls of food and start eating with their chopsticks.
"This is a really nice place you got here, Kalianna," Sydney looks around the kitchen with a smile. "I can't believe you're living by yourself, that's really impressive for a teenager."
"Thanks, Syd," Kalianna eats a strip of rare steak meat. "I go out shopping by myself for food too, even though it's kinda scary since you're paying for your own groceries as a kid."
(Sukura41: For anyone who says rare steak is raw, you're an idiot. Some cultures like super rare meat. Kalianna likes rare steak, so if that's a problem, please leave.)
"You're a pretty great cook, did the maid Gladys teach you?" Sydney inquires.
"Yeah, I've become really good at cooking, I don't burn rice or water anymore! Anyway, I'm glad that you visited me, but earlier, you said you had something to tell me, what was it?" Kalianna tilts her head.
Sydney munches on a strip of medium-well steak and rice. After she does, she gets serious and opens her brown Fendi purse, acquiring an invitation from it. She puts it on the table and slides it over to her little cousin.
Kalianna picks up the invitation and starts reading.
