Chapter Thirty Seven

" are you still mad at me ? " Zoey asked kia as she walked into the kitchen where she was stealing food out of their house again. Zo was taking the doctors orders very seriously because he wanted her to be able carry this pregnancy full term so he didn't allow her to leave the house without him .

But even though he put his tour on pause he was still working locally .

" im not mad " kia said simply.

" ok well can you watch serenity for me because I have to - " before she could finish kia cut her off .

" no I can't do you any favors zoey , you shouldn't want someone stupid watching your baby anyways " kia said .

" I thought you weren't mad ? " Zoey asked .

" i'm not mad but i'm not about to keep being nice and letting people walk all over me . What you said to me was very disrespectful and uncalled for . I was only trying to help you and give you advice as a big sister , I would never say anything to hurt you but you deliberately said words to hurt me and I don't deserve that because i've been the only person rooting for you and supporting you and your pregnancy and motherhood journey since day one " kia said finally expressing to her how she felt .

" Kia I was just upset " Zoey tried to explain .

" and that's cool .. I get upset with all of y'all all the time and I never speak to hurt y'all . like I said i'm not mad with you zoey but i'm done breaking my back and going out my way to help people who don't even think about doing the same in return for me . I'm about to focus on myself , my husband , our daughter , and my three unborn children " Kia said with finality .

She didn't express it to anyone yet but she was feeling some type of way because she always showed up for everyone but no one was there for her during her pregnancy . When Nadia and Darkayla was pregnant she called and texted them every other day to check on on them , she planned them gender reveals and baby showers and they've been MIA with her .

Besides Zo the only people that were checking up on her was Derrick , Big Zo , her mom . Devin and Destiny came to the guest house everyday to spend time with her and make sure was okay and to see if she needed anything but she hadnt heard from anyone else and that kind of hurt her feelings , especially because everyone knew that her pregnancy was high risk .

" What the fuck do you think you doing ? " Zo asked kia as he walked in the house and saw her holding a few bags of the ingredients she was stealing from the house.

" I was coming to see ingredients so that I can cook " she said in a duh tone.

" you know I don't want you carrying anything .. what was you trying to cook anyways ? i'll make it " He offered .

" well you wasn't here to help me and you don't know how to cook what I want " kia said as she started to cry .

" all you had to was call me and I would've came to help you baby .. what do you want to eat I can pay somebody to cook it for you if you don't want to wait until pops gets home " Zo said as he took the bags out of her hand.

" I want some baked macaroni and barbecue ribs "

" ok baby .. just relax and ima find somebody to make it for you " he said as he wiped her tears and she nodded .

" are you finished working for today ? " she asked .

" I wasn't but I can be if you want me to .. what's the matter ? " he asked . he could tell something was wrong by her facial expression.

" I just feel so alone ... nobody comes to see me or check up on me and i'm stuck inside all day bored "

" wait don't nobody check up on you ? " zo asked feeling himself get mad . He too knew how much kia showed out for everyone and the fact she felt so alone didn't sit right with him .
