" If he doesn't make it to her party i'm breaking up with him and zo's gonna beat him up " Zoey vented to Kia and Zo as she sat in their living room watching as Kia braided Serenity's hair .

It was Serenity's birthday and the day of her party and Tony had gotten arrested that morning for having weed on him and Zoey was pissed off with him . She didn't even understand why he was doing drops when he was supposed to be going to pick up his daughter's birthday cake .

" I am ? " Zo asked because he didn't agree to fight anybody for her .

" yes " Zoey said looking up at him . " this is why I keep telling him to stop doing that shit "

" you want me to be real with you zoey ? " Zo asked her .

" sure " she said even though she wasn't sure . Zo said anything out of his mouth.

" Tony ain't leaving the streets alone no time soon and it's nothing you , me , or anybody can say or do to make him quit . You gotta put yourself in his shoes for a minute sis . You were born and raised with a silver spoon in your mouth and everything handed to you . You never have to lift a finger , everything is handed to you on a pretty pink sparkly platter , he's not that fortunate . Yeah Tony grew up around his uncles making bank from pushing drugs but since he was young they was training him for that life so that's what he's accustomed too , that's the only way he know how to make the kind of money that he wants"

" I understand that but I'm not asking him to quit and just be broke , but he can start investing his money into other things and starting a business or something " Zoey said .

" He young Zoey , he ain't thinking bout none of that . I'm saying all of this to say I know you love the nigga and I believe he love you too but he not leaving the streets alone so you either gotta leave him or put up with it but crying to me and kia ain't helping nothing " he said .

Kia cut her eyes at him . " Lorenzo "

" What ? " Zo questioned. He didn't see what he said wrong. Everytime Zoey got upset about Tony making drops or handling business she ran to them and cried to them about it and he didn't know what she wanted them to do .

He tried talking to to Tony and he was stuck in ways so there was nothing they could do about it .

" you could've said it nicer " Kia told him .

" Zoey bout to be seventeen I don't gotta sugarcoat nothing for her and she be giving me a headache with all this whining   " Zo said .

Kia reached over and popped him on his arm with the comb she was using to part Serenity's hair.

" Anyways Kia , my mom messaged me on instagram asking me can she come to the party " Zoey said putting emphasis on kia's name to let Zo know she had butted him out of the conversation .

" Which one is your mama again ? " Kia asked . Big Zo had so many baby mamas it was hard for her to keep up with who was the mother of who . She use to see them a lot when they were younger but as they got older she didn't see much of them except for Armani and Emani's mom , Kemani , who came and got them every other weekend .

From Kia's opinion she was the best baby mama he had out of all the other hood rats he impregnated. She let Big Zo get primary custody of the girls because she was a travel nurse but she always called them and made sure when it was her time to get them that she showed up .

" Lexi " Zoey said and Kia thought about it .

" The crazy bitch with the red hair . Last time we saw her she came over and set our grass on fire because Angela , Lo's mama went to her job and whooped her ass and got her fired " Zo reminded her .
