chapter 71~ friends

We get back to Kenji's house. Usually, when I first agreed to share the room, because of what happened to mine, I was cool with it.

He usually isn't here when I go to sleep; he comes back late.

But now...

"Is everything okay?" he asks while standing topless.

"Yeah." His abs are exposed, and it's my first time seeing him topless this close.

I go to the bathroom and change there, yes, in Kenji's clothes.

I get out and ask, "Kenji, can I bring a few of my friends after shopping?" Rory, Molly, and others are going to shop for my new clothes.

"Sure, this is also your house; do whatever you want," he answers, and I nod.

We go to bed, and the pillows are still there, separating us.

A few days later, we went shopping.

"Are we done yet?" drake wines

"Almost," Molly states.

About an hour later, we were done and went to Kenji's house with Drake's car.

"Damn, you live in a castle," Rory says, and I roll my eyes.

We went inside, and thank God, Kenji, it's here.

"Are you guys hungry?" I ask.

"Kinda"

"Little," they answer.

"It's not like you can cook for us," Molly jokes.

"The housekeeper is a real help with that." I state, it's true, I don't cook. I know some stuff you can eat while you're broke, but then again.

Those people are from the school where me and my brothers went; they're rich.

But the way Rory reacted to where I lived was kind of strange.

"You live my dream; I also want a housekeeper."

"Why don't you have one?" James asks Molly.

"Mom thinks that if we had one, I would grow up spoiled," she said, rolling her eyes.

"You don't have one, but you still grew up like one." James said it seriously, but we all know he joked.

After thinking, we decided to order pizza.

"You live here alone" drake asks and I shake my head

"No"

"So with brothers, right?"

"No, it's actually a friend's place; our house is having some changes," I lie with no hesitation.

They nod and continue to eat.

"Have you guys started applying to colleges yet?" I ask.

"Yet?" Drake asked.

"What"

"That happened a while ago, Hun."

"Oh"

"You haven't," James asks.

"No, I was sick, as I told Rory before." I lie once again.

We talk, eat, and have nothing else to talk about.

"Who's the friend you live with?" Drake asks.

"Oh, it's just a friend," I answer awkwardly.

Suddenly I hear a door open. He should be here yet. I look at the clock, and it's 8.

He usually comes late.

They all look at Kenji and then me.

"Is that the friend you live with?" Drake asks, and I nod.

"Hello everyone!" Kenji greets them, and so do they.

I was about to say we would go to my room, but then I realized...

"I'll be in my office," he said, going upstairs.

"You live with him." James, Molly, and Rory shouted quietly.

"Yeah"

"Is he your boyfriend or something?" Drake asks.

"What no?" I smile nervously.

A few hours later, we're now in another room. I told them it was my room, when in reality it's one of the housekeepers.

"I'll go get some water; y'all want some," I ask them, and they agree.

I went downstairs and saw Kanji holding paperwork.

"Sorry they stayed a little late; time slipped." I apologize.

"It's fine; you have lots of friends."

"Yeah, I guess."

"I didn't think you were friends with him." Who does that mean?

"Who"

"Him," he said quietly, looking behind me.

I turn around and see Drake. I look at Kenji, but he's no longer there.

"I thought I would help you with glasses."

"Oh yeah, that would be great." I started to pour the water.

"Aza, do you have a boyfriend?" Drake asked suddenly.

"Amm, no, why?"

"Nothin just curious," he rubbed the back of his head.

"Hey, I actually have two tickets for the new movie that came out this year. Wanna go?"

"What movie?" I ask.

"New Marvel one"

"What's Marvel?" I ask, and he looks at me shocked.

"You don't know what Marvel movies are," he asks, and I shake my head.

"Oh no," he said dramatically.

"What"

"No, no, no," he laughed.

"Just tell me." I laugh as well.

"You really need to watch those, so is that a yes?" he questions.

"Yeah, sure." We go upstairs.

After a while, they left, and I went to my room.

I saw topless Kanji laying on a bed. I went to the bathroom and changed.

"Aren't you going to wear a shirt?" I ask him.

"It's hot," so he isn't. I just nod and lay on my side of the bed.

"Are you tired?" he asks.

"Yeah, who thought having friends was exhausting?" I joked, and I heard him slightly laugh.

Should I ask him about work?

"Are you"

"What"

"Tired, like from work."

"Not really," he answered simply.

It was silent for a while when he spoke.

"You're pretty close with that guy, Drake." not sure if he asked or stated

"I'm close with everyone."

"I guess"

"Are you busy those days?" he adds.

"Depends, I'm going to the movies with a friend."

"What friend"

"Drake, in two days," I say.

"Oh, just two of you," he asks, and I nod.

"Sounds like a date," he states.

"But it's not."
