Case 4. Side Story. 10 Incredible Things of SCI's First Anniversary

Mr. Bai and Mr. Zhan's secret files.

According to legends, the police station had a top-secret file room, which contained top-secret files of police elites across various periods. Apparently, the two thickest files belonged to Bai Yunwen, the chief of criminal investigation back then, and Zhan Qitian, who volunteered to help in the investigations as a forensic medical examiner. The data of these two men were well hidden. Apparently, Bai Yunwen had said that no one was allowed to read these two top secret files. The better some things were protected, the more they would arouse other people's curiosity. Therefore, these two top secret files had become one of the 10 incredible things in the police department. They were something that Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang had always wanted to see.

One sunny Sunday.

Zhan Zhao woke up tiredly and found that the quilt next to him was empty. He reached out and touched it. It was already cold. When he looked at the clock on the wall, he saw that it was just after seven.

Zhan Zhao wondered why Xiao Bai got up so early on a Sunday.

In the past, Bai Yutang would quarrel with him in bed on the weekend until he woke up from annoyance. Bai Yutang would cook breakfast contentedly or take advantage of the good mood in the morning.

When Zhan Zhao thought of this, he felt something was wrong. He kept turning and tossing before going to sleep again.

However...

10 minutes later, Zhan Zhao got up because he couldn't sleep.

While in his pyjamas, he wore a pair of Garfield slippers that Bai Yutang had bought for him and left the bedroom.

When he opened the door, he didn't smell any food. Zhan Zhao became even more confused. "What is he doing getting up so early?" He wondered to himself.

When Zhan Zhao got into the living room, he still didn't find anyone. Zhan Zhao thought for a moment and concluded that he was probably in the study. When Zhan Zhao opened the door, he was surprised to find no one.

"Huh?" Zhan Zhao tilted his head and felt that something was wrong.

Then, he went around to every room, and even looked under the bed, in the cupboard, and in the refrigerator... However, he did not find Bai Yutang.

Zhan Zhao stood in a daze in the living room for a moment. There was only one conclusion. Bai Yutang had gone out early in the morning without saying a word. As for what he was doing, no one knew.

Zhan Zhao thought for a moment, then ran back to his room. He rummaged through the cabinets and began to look for his cell phone.

Just then, the door clicked open. It seemed that someone had opened the door. Zhan Zhao ran out and shouted, "Xiao Bai!"

However, when he arrived at the door, he was stunned. He saw a man dressed in black trousers walk in. He was wearing a black hat, sunglasses and a black scarf.

Zhan Zhao was surprised. He picked up the spatula hanging on the kitchen wall. "Who are you?"

The man looked up at Zhan Shao and sighed. "Cat, what are you doing with a spatula? Cooking?"

Zhan Zhao finally recognized the person. Apart from the black he was wearing, everything else indicated the man was Bai Yutang.

Bai Yutang took off his hat, scarf and sunglasses. "How come you're up so early?"

Zhan Zhao ran over and asked, "you went to be a thief this early in the morning? You're even wearing black?"

"Let me show you something good." Bai Yutang took out two paper bags from under his clothes.
