Case 1. An Innocent Murderer: Chapter 21. Magical

Zhan Zhao's words startled Luo Yang, Luo Tian and Bai Yutang.

Luo Tian looked at Luo Yang in surprise and asked, "Yangyang...You..."

Luo Yang looked blankly at the three adults staring at him and said, "What?"

"Where did you learn to ask questions like that?" Zhan Zhao asked, "Who taught you?"

Yangyang shook his head and said, "No one taught me. I learned it myself..."

"Who did you learn it from?" Zhan Zhao asked.

Luo Yang hesitated for a moment, then held out his finger and gently pointed at Zhan Zhao, "I learned it from Uncle Zhan." Luo Yang whispered.

As soon as everyone heard Luo Yang's words, they were all stunned on the spot.

"Me?" Zhan Zhao was unable to return to his senses as he asked Yangyang, "From my book?"

Bai Yutang shook his head. He squatted down, then reached out and touched Yangyang's head, "Yangyang, is it because you watch this cat talk to people all the time, so you unconsciously imitated him?" Bai Yutang asked.

Luo Yang nodded, "En...Even though everyone in SCI is amazing, I think Uncle Zhan is the most amazing." Luo Yang said. Then, he hid behind Luo Tian and whispered, "Dad also said that Uncle Zhan's words are like magic, and that I should learn how to speak from him."

Zhan Zhao was completely dumbfounded, while Bai Yutang sat on the sofa and laughed. Luo Tian could not help but laugh, then asked Luo Yang, "What about your actions just now? Explain why you asked the questions like that."

Luo Yang nodded and whispered, "Uncle Zhan always looks into people's eyes when he talks. It feels as though he is listening to you carefully...Afterwards, Uncle Zhan will say some words that guides people to think...It has happened many times. He doesn't teach others how to remember something, but instead gets them to go back to that environment, letting them unconsciously remember what happened. Also, when Uncle Zhan talks, he will sometimes pat the person being questioned with his hand, making him feel close...So I...."

After Bai Yutang had a good laugh on the sofa, he turned to look at Zhan Zhao, who was still standing in front of Yangyang stunned. Bai Yutang smiled, "Cat...It's not what you thought."

Zhan Zhao's face instantly flushed, as he looked at Luo Yang apologetically. Yangyang hid behind Luo Tian and stuck his tongue out at Zhan Zhao, "So mean."

"Yangyang, don't be rude." Luo Tian looked back at Luo Yang, who pouted.

Bai Yutang walked over, picked up the embarrassed Zhan Zhao and said to Luo Tian, "You stay with the two kids for a bit. We will be back soon." With that, he held Zhan Zhao, who wanted to hide his face in Bai Yutang's collar, and walked out of the ward. They arrived at the staircase around the corner.

After they walked into the quiet stairwell, Bai Yutang gently sat Zhan Zhao down on the steps, while Bai Yutang squatted down and looked directly at Zhan Zhao. Then, Bai Yutang reached out and pinched Zhan Zhao's chin, "What's the matter cat? Not bad. Little Yangyang is your fan. You are liked by both the old and the young!"

"Go away." Zhan Zhao glared at him and said nothing more as he lowered his head.

Bai Yutang slightly lifted Zhan Zhao's chin and said, "Also, what did you just say? Our genes are amazing?"

Zhan Zhao nodded.

Bai Yutang smiled, "How can it be amazing when you run slower than a turtle?"

Zhan Zhao was angry. He lifted his uninjured leg and kicked Bai Yutang. Bai Yutang dodged, then sat down next to him and said, "Why? Have you been anxious lately Dr. Zhan?"

"You are the one who's anxious." Zhan Zhao glared at Bai Yutang angrily.

"Cat..." Bai Yutang touched his chin and said, "You know in your heart that no matter how good your genes are, you would never have achieved everything so far without days of hard-work."

Zhan Zhao looked up at Bai Yutang.

"Also." Bai Yutang continued, "There are thousands of people with good genes in this world...Not everyone has achieved something."

Zhan Zhao nodded.

"You're afraid." Bai Yutang laughed and whispered, "You're afraid it has something to do with Zhao Jue...Also, you have been very sensitive about Zhao Jue ever since you met him."

Zhan Zhao thought for a moment, then nodded and looked at Bai Yutang, "What does that mean?"

After hearing this, Zhan Zhao started to think. Then, the nervous expression on his face disappeared as he whispered, "Dead mouse, so clever."

"I told you." Bai Yutang said proudly, "You are an expert at studying people, while I am an expert at studying you."

Zhan Zhao glanced at him and suddenly said, "I've thought of something else!"

"What?" Bai Yutang asked, "Is it about how Lu Liang and Zhao Jing's parents know each other?"

"No." Zhan Zhao waved his hand, "Just now, Yangyang said he learned to ask questions like that from watching me. There was also a bit of hypnosis, right?"
