Case 2. Killer VS Killer: Chapter 05. Suspicion

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao ran into the emergency room and saw five bodies lying there covered with white cloth. Ben was sitting on the bed with a gauze on his hands. It happened to be Ma Xin who was dealing with his wounds. Bao Zheng stood on the side with an ugly expression.

"Bao Sir." Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao walked up to Bao Zheng and said, "How did this happen?"

"It was ZJ's people who did it." Ben suddenly opened his mouth. The rim of his eyes were red, as if he had just cried. After all, those who had fallen were all companions whom he lived with day and night, so of course he would be sad.

"Are you all right?" Zhan Zhao thought there was something wrong with Ben, so he asked him. Ben looked up at Zhan Zhao and replied coldly, "What do you think?"

Zhan Zhao was stupefied and embarrassed. Bai Yutang frowned slightly, but since Ben might be extremely upset, he decided to leave it. He looked at Zhan Zhao--Cat, forget it, he's probably too upset.

Zhan Zhao looked up indifferently--I'm not that stingy.

"ZJ's people did this?" Bai Yutang looked at Bao Zheng.

Bao Zheng looked at Ben and said, "Please explain."

Ben walked up to the bodies and uncovered the white cloth that covered them. He then pointed to the deceased's left chest and said, "All of them were killed with one shot." Then, he pointed to the neck of the deceased, "It's the Marine Corps' favorite move, snapping the neck... Getting shot in the chest meant death, but that was still not enough. They had to make sure." He pointed to the victim's chin and saw that there was a scratch there, which looked like the letters ZJ.

"How did they do that?" Zhan Zhao was a little confused.

"People in ZJ all wear the same style of watch or bracelet. ZJ's mark is very prominent, and when strangling someone's neck using the inside of the wrist, that part with the mark is right on the person's chin, so it leaves a clear ZJ logo. This is why we call this killer organization ZJ."

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang nodded. No wonder.

"How many of them are there?" Bai Yutang wondered, "Why do they want to kill you?"

Ben sighed and shook his head. "Military secrets, I can't say."

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao glanced at Bao Zheng, who nodded to them and said, "This is no small matter. However, we will be responsible for the cases in our country. Due to the fact that all the victims were members of Interpol, someone will be sent here to investigate with us."

"Who?" Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao looked at each other.

"You guys have worked together before." Bao Zheng said faintly, "Ou Yangchun."

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao were okay with that. Ou Yangchun was very capable and was not as arrogant as those people at Interpol.

"Bao Sir." Bai Yutang looked at Bao Zheng. "Does it mean we can start our investigations before Ou Yangchun and the others arrive?"

Bao Zheng nodded. "I have sealed off the scene. They will arrive tomorrow morning. It's better if you guys go together. You guys need to cooperate with each other."

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang looked at each other. Then, they looked at Bao Zheng strangely, as if to ask-- Then why did you call us here now?

Bao Zheng's face changed and said awkwardly, "Tonight, we have to keep Benjamin safe... I have arranged police forces to guard him... But he said he wanted you as protection." With that, he looked at Bai Yutang.

"Me?" Bai Yutang frowned and looked at Ben.

"I don't trust anyone else." Ben looked at Bai Yutang and said, "I only trust you here... Besides, I can't be sure of other people's abilities."
