Another day, another busy schedule of filming for their idol life.
Except that it includes a frozen lake.
When all hope seems lost, at least the members have each other to back one another up.

The door to the dance practice room opened, and Manager Jisoo entered it.

"Boys, practice is canceled for today."

Five pairs of eyes looked up from their phones and towards their manager.

"What?!" Yeonjun exclaimed.

"Thank god," Kai quietly whispered.

"Why didn't they tell us earlier?" Taehyun questioned, slightly agitated at the sudden news.

"Your instructor called in sick just fifteen minutes ago. And you know how this building is; it still takes a while for us to find our way around here sometimes."

"Can't exactly blame him either," Beomgyu said.

"So, what are we gonna do, relax?" Soobin asked.

"Not quite."

They slumped.

"Of course," Kai remarked.

"Why did I even ask?"

"Well, if it cheers you up, it'll be something fun," Manager Jisoo tried to lighten the mood.

Yeonjun perked a brow.

"It will?"

"Mhm. We thought of shooting a special Talk X Today episode, ice skating edition."

Taehyun and Beomgyu jumped up.

"Ice skating?!"

Yeonjun threw a fist in the air.

"YES!!"

"I should ask Sunghoon for some tips then," Soobin muttered, taking his phone out to text him.

"We'll leave within the next half an hour, you don't need to dress fancy, just be comfortable."

"OKAY!!"

*time skip because I'm lazy af and I have time pressure rip*

An entire caravan of cars arrived at the nearest ice skating site, which consisted of frozen over lakes. The five boys stepped outside of their vehicles, admiring the scenery of their filming location.

"Eee this is gonna be so much fun!" Taehyun exclaimed.

"Let's do this!" Kai exclaimed.

"Woo!!"

Their director shook hands with an instructor, whose name tag read Jung Hyewon.

"It's a pleasure to have you here," she smiled.

"Thank you for accepting our request on such short notice. We will operate as carefully as we can."

"Good to hear."

Hyewon skated a short round around the lake, making sure that the main ground had ice at least twenty centimeters thick, and gave herself a mental note to remind them of the areas they shouldn't go.

Meanwhile, the five boys all tied their skates on and rose to their feet afterwards. Taehyun, however, had a few difficulties tying his shoelaces. As he was wearing mittens that only had the thumb separate, he couldn't really get a grip on them.

"Aww come on," he mumbled.

"Need help?"

The second Maknae looked up to see Yeonjun above him.
