"I knew you'd be here."

"Minato-san, what brings you here?"

"Didn't I tell you? We're here to work on the MV, remember?"

Ah, right. I had almost forgotten.

"Well, yeah, but where are the others?"

She hesitated for a moment before answering, "Don't worry about them for now; they're preoccupied."

Don't mind? I'm sorry but I have to take this seriously too.

I took a deep breath, feeling a bit uneasy about the situation. "Yukina, can we talk for a moment?"

Yukina's expression remained stoic as she replied, "Very well, Nakasone-kun. What is it?"

I paused, choosing my words carefully. "Actually, I saw the conversation with the others in the group chat. It seems like there's some tension. Is everything okay?"

Yukina's icy gaze bore into me. "It's none of your concern, Nakasone-kun."

I didn't back down. "Look, I understand that you take music seriously, and that's admirable. But it also seems like something's bothering you. If you ever want to talk or need assistance with anything, I'm here to help."

For a moment, Yukina's stoic facade wavered, and she looked away. "I appreciate your offer, Nakasone-kun, but this is something I need to handle myself. Just focus on your work for us."

"Minato-san..." I regarded her with a hint of concern but then changed the subject. "Actually, do you think cats would fit in the MV as well?"

Yukina's expression briefly shifted, her stoic demeanor faltering for a moment. "Cats? What do you mean?"

She secretly loves cats and denies it when questioned about it. I guess it's time to use the cats as a weapon.

I took a deep breath, "Oh, you don't get it, do you? If you put cats in the background, don't you think your audience will love it? I mean, cats are cute, right?"

Yukina remained composed, but a glint of curiosity appeared in her eyes. "Cats... Yes, I suppose they are."

...

"Minato-san... This is just for the MV but wanna go to the cat cafe?"

Yukina looked at me, a hint of surprise in her eyes. "A cat cafe?"

"Yes, a cat cafe. You know, it could be a great way to get some inspiration for your MV."

Yukina hesitated for a moment, then finally relented, "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to visit one briefly for research purposes."

I smiled, "Great! Let's go, then."

All hail the cat gods.

And so... The two of us went to the cat cafe.

As we arrived, we entered the cafe, a wave of tranquility washed over us. The soft, rhythmic purring of the cats and their gentle presence immediately put us at ease.

Yukina, with her stoic demeanor, couldn't help but murmur, "Cute."

"Hm? Did you say something?"

Yukina's cheeks colored slightly as she cleared her throat. "N-Nothing. Let's just find a table."

We chose a corner table and sat down, watching the cats as they moved gracefully around the room, some lounging on shelves, others curiously investigating toys.

"Minato-san, do you have a favorite?" I asked, trying to keep the conversation light better and keep the conversation ongoing.

She observed the feline inhabitants thoughtfully. "I suppose that one," she pointed to a fluffy cat with striking blue eyes. "It has an air of elegance."

I nodded, impressed. "Good choice. Elegant, just like you."

Yukina's cheeks flushed a bit more, but she managed a small smile. "Thank you."

Yukina nodded and cautiously reached out to pet one of the cats. It purred loudly in response, and Yukina couldn't help but smile.

"They are rather endearing creatures."

Creatures?

We spent a peaceful hour at the cat cafe, enjoying the company of the cats and each other's presence.

It was a side of Yukina I hadn't seen before, one that made her seem more approachable. Her usual stoic demeanor was softened by the feline charm.

"Cute," I couldn't help but murmur, more to myself than to her, as I watched her observe the cats.

"Hm?" Yukina turned her gaze towards me. "Did you say something?"

I felt my cheeks flush a bit. "Oh, um, nothing important. Just commenting on how adorable these cats are."

Yukina gave a faint, almost imperceptible smile. "Indeed, they are."

Uwah... That was close... Really close.

And so after a few hours... we left the cafe.

Yukina turned to me. "Thank you, Nakasone-kun. This was a surprisingly enjoyable experience."

"You're welcome, Minato-san."

She nodded, her usual composed self returning. "I'll keep that in mind. Now, let's get back to work."

Hahaha... Of course, she didn't forget about that.

But at least I get to see her another side.
