Lazy Day (Nihachu x female)

As I typed away on my computer from the little dining table, I couldn't help but admire the view before me. Niki was on the window seat, her feet tucked under her and a sketchbook in her lap, a look of concentration on her face. I loved that look she got whenever she was totally focused on a project, lost in her own little world. We were two very different people; I was going for a science major, studying forensics, while she was going for an art major. She worked on practicing shading techniques and paint textures while I worked on the stages of decay and burn patterns. We had two very different paths, but somehow we just worked.

As if sensing my thoughts, Niki lifted her head and her blue eyes met my e/c ones. She tilted her head slightly as she asked, "What are you doing?""Just admiring my beautiful girlfriend," I replied. A gentle smile graced her features at my comment and she ducked her head for a moment. "Well, why don't you come over here and admire this piece I just finished?" I laughed slightly but joined her anyway, making myself comfortable behind her. She proudly showed me what she had been working on, which was a sketch of some dark fairy castle she had gotten the inspiration for randomly in a dream. "Good job, it's really good, just like you are," I said, resting my chin on her shoulder. She smiled at my comment as she traced some of the lines on the page with her finger.

Niki leaned forward so her chest was against her knees and I loosely wrapped my arms around her middle. I rested my head against her back, taking a moment to look at the scenery sprawling below our window, before pressing my lips to her back. It was quiet for a moment before she said, "I think we've spent a good amount of time working. Let's just relax now, maybe even watch something.""That sounds like an excellent suggestion," I replied. We both made our way over to the huge beanbag and collapsed on it, laughing when I almost fell off. Niki turned so that her back was against my legs and pulled the hair tie out of her hair. She let me fishtail braid her hair because she knows it's something that calms me down and we sat there in silence as I did it.

When I had finished, Niki turned towards me and pressed a kiss to my cheek as she said, "Thank you." We sat side by side, talking, our legs laying on top of each other's, our faces inches apart. After a while she asked, "So what do you want to do now, y/n?" Hearing her say my name sent a shiver down my spine, but I covered it up with a shrug as I replied, "I don't know, why don't you pick something?" She seemed to ponder for a moment before she said, "We could just watch YouTube." I agreed with her idea and she turned something on before she fell back into the beanbag, laying on top of my hand. I laid down beside her, pressed into her side, and began playing with few loose strands of Niki's hair. Every once in a while, I would press a lazy kiss to some part of her and she would sigh contentedly. I could spend hours staying like this with my wonderful girlfriend, and that's exactly what I did.
