Woke up in the morning. Just chilling, cause I don't really have anything to do as our seminar prof haven't uploaded any instructions just yet.

Washed my hair. Basically waiting for mum and J. to arrive cause they are to visit me today again.

Okay, I decided that I need to catch up with some music I've been missing for quite a time. So. I decided to make a short review of some Palaye Royale music. I should probably start with the oldest songs, but it's gonna be easier for me to just listen to the new ones and gradually go backwards. We'll see how many I will be able to go through for the time being.

So, starting with Sextape (2023), which was just released. The album is shorter than I expected tho (just 5 songs, one of them I already know). Maybe they will release some more music in the nearest future.
1) Stripped: The beginning was not really my type of music, so I was waiting for it to develop. It did, however, it wasn't hard enough. It's not bad tho. Strong 5/10, I think. I wouldn't listen to it over and over tho.
2) Desire: I like the beginning already. Kinda eerie. And it developed nice. I'm hopeful. Female vocal is a nice addition. And it developed nice again. A bit in a different direction than I expected, but it was still nice. I really like the guitar in the background, sounds really nice. Strong 6.5/10.
3) Dead To Me: Well, this one I already know and I like it VERY much. In terms of a good PR song this is strong 9/10. "I still fucking hate you hate you hate you. What are you doing to me?" is a perfect line and it's so greatly emphasised in the last chorus<33 Yeah, when it gets harder it's so fucking perfect.
4) Season Of The Witch: I am hopeful about this one mainly because of its title. Don't disappoint me. I see we're back to the same aesthetic. I am curious how it will develop. It didn't really live up to my expectations, unfortunately. Might be 4.5/10 for now. I have to say tho that all the songs are perfectly paced. even if you don't really like it, it doesn't drag on forever.
5) Closer: I am hopeful about this one again. This time because of its thumbnail. Come on, give me something nice. I LOVE the aesthetic of the video. It's like AHS. I think I know this song from somewhere. Maybe I listened to it at some point already and now I"m just looking at the music video. The song doesn't really have my vibe, but the video is perfect. The song might be 5/10. The video is 10/10 tho<3
Okay so that's basically it for this album. Might move on to the next or maybe just listen to some Eurovision songs I skipped? (the second semifinal 2023).

Okay, next PR album - Fever Dream (2022). I know many songs from this one, but let's give it a listen :D
1) Eternal Life: A slow one, it seems. Unless it develops later. It developed quite nicely :D I like the guitar and the vocals. And the screams omg. Yeah, I really like it. 6.5/10. (Also, I just wanted to say that I'm not reevaluating those songs in comparison to the rest. I just give them the points that seem accurate to me in that given moment.)
2) No Love In LA: I know this one. Never gave it any specific grade tho. It has a music video so that's nice. It keeps me entertained. Their music vids really give me AHS vibes, I just realised that a lot of them does so, which is fantastic. I liek the chorus of this one. 7/10.
3) Punching Bag: I know this one. And I LOVE it. I used to listen to it all the time and that says a lot. Omg the wallpaper is the album cover :D "I wake up I'm so glad I can be your punching bag" >> I think one this is like a 10/10 Palaye Royale song.
4) Broken: I know this one as well. Used to listen to it all the time. It has a completely different vibe, but I love it so much. It's 9.5/10 for me, definitely. Might even be 10/10. Cause it gives it the last final hit at the end, exactly where it was needed. Cause songs sometimes tend not to do that and it always annoys me so much...
5) Fever Dream: I know I listened to this one already, but I don't really remember it. the aesthetic is AHS again, season 4, I think, which, unfortunately, I haven't yet occasion to watch. Oh yeah, this is the positive one. That's why I didn't really listen to it after the first time. The video is brilliant tho. 5.5/10. I might even change it to 6/10.
6) Line It Up: Time to listen to something new. This one has a cute vibe. It's not my vibe tho. 5/10. The other singer's voice doesn't really seems suitable to me tho :( Because of her it might be 4.5/10, but were I to judge only PR's performance it's 5/10. This one also drags on a bit.
7) Toxic In You: Something new again. We're halfway through the album now. This one sounds like an average PR song, honestly. It's also kinda short. 5.5/10.
8) Wasted Sorrow: New one as well. I already like its vibe :D A bit too positive melody, but it sounds nice. 6.5/10.
9) Paranoid: Oh I know this one so much. It's easily 10/10 for me. Used to constantly listen to this one. I LOVE the bridge.
(I took a break to chat with W. for a while and also listen to "Knowing What I Know Now", which was genuinely cool. I might not have the time to finish listening to the full album now, but I'll try.)
10) Lifeless Stars: Back to the new ones.I really like this one. I wasn't that convinced by it, but the chorus did it's job. 6.5/10 or maybe even 7/10.
11) King of the Damned: I don't know this one as well. The title seems promising. Harder intro, nice. Unfortunately no music video. It has a No Love In LA vibe. Really similar music - 7/10.
12) Off With The Head: A new one as well. The title sparks some good memories and references in my mind. Hopefully this one is worth its title. The chorus in this one has an interesting vibe. Apart from that this one is just really similar to the previous one, at least in my opinion. Typical PR sounds (which does NOT mean it's a bad one). 7/10. Also, this one is loooong (6:30min), maybe a bit too long.
(I've not finished listening to this one at that time, cause mum and J. arrived in the meantime. I am continuing to listen to the last two songs at 11:09pm as they already left. I was going to talk to W., but she's not here, so I'm gonna use this time to finish this and also maybe write down what happened during the day in general.) (Update: That was a plan at least, cause W. arrived not very long after that, so I never fully listened to the song nor I managed to write the full chapter - doing it now, the next day at 3:26pm).
13) Oblivion: Another new one. I think I've heard at least a part of it somewhere. Omg the cloaks in the mv tho>> I think this one might be a cover of something else, cause I swear I've heard it somewhere. Piano in the river? Cool :D I LOVE their clotes. The song is about 5.5/10, I think.
14) Debilitate: I am a bit sceptical cause it's a collab again and the previous one wasn't really successful, but let's give it a go. Okay, it's a heavy one. I like the beginning. Also, interesting style of animation, it is really pretty. I like this song. Not my fav one, but it could be like 7.5/10, I think (it's a bit more difficult to grade this one cause I'm listening to it the next day and I don't really remember how I judged the rest of them).
Okay, done! Fever Dream album was really cool, I liked it a lot. Some of the songs are definitely among those I would listen to on a daily basis (or already did so in the past).

Mum and J. arrived about 4pm and then we spent time together till about 11pm. That was a really cool day.
First we ate dinner together, in the meantime watching some vids and listening to music. Mum brought me a christmas tree and decorated it. That was so sweet :D
She also told me a story about this poor little boy at her school. I won't go into details - this is just a mention for myself, just to remember this little angel and maybe ask him in the future. Also, it would be a bit unfair to share such personal stories.
We bought tickets for the BC concert in April! Yes! I'm going after all :D Mum and J. going with me, of course. It's gonna be so nice to hear all those new songs live. It's so awesome that it's gonna be my third concert and every time it's gonna be a different album.
Then we got ready and left. We were going to attend the Christmas fair. But before we went there, we also went to a shopping mall. Then mum and I went one way, and J. went to manage his own businesses.
We visited a tea shop and bought some nice tea blends (one of them we already tried later in the evening - it was sooo nice; like the ones that we drink at the one cafe). Then we basically just wandered around the mall. We also stopped at Sephora to see if they had the Johnny Depp Dior Sauvage perfumes (they did, for what price I don't wanna even mention, cause it's kinda riddiculus). It was so cool cause they even had an ad with Johnny on it :D We took the sprayed stripes of paper with us (as the scent was really nice). (Update from later that day and the next as well: the stripes are on one of y shelves and omg the scent is so intense. I am so glad we kept it.)
In the meantime, unfortunately, I got a message from the seminar prof with the topic of the assignment. My mood went down (sorry, I can't really control it) because of it.
At the end, when we were with J. again we stopped at a cafe to buy some takeway cake and pralines<33
Then we continued our walk. We stopped at Flying Tiger. Mum bough me a candleholde and two candles - black and green :D
Later we went back to the market square. I was getting annoyed by people, but I managed to do it in a comical way, so mum had some laughs as well :D I finally saw the big christmas tree for the first time. Mum and I also stopped to listen to the organ grinder (new word, let's go!) who was standing on the side by himself. It was really cute. Like... I would give the whole fair for him. Like... He was just the embodiment of Christmas mood and gentleness in general. We gave some money to him and he tipped his top hat to us. That was really cute<33
Then we just went home, having some laughs and talks. The atmosphere in general was really really nice and warm.
Also, I finally have some gifts for people. Not all of them, but this is a nice beginning.
At home, we just chilled - drank some tea, ate the cake and the pralines. It was genuinely cute.

As mentioned already, they left about 11pm. Then, also as mentioned, I tried to catch up with the album review and the writing in general, but eventually W. arrived so we just got engaged in talking. We had a lot of fun, doing some bingos, vibes, never have I ever, etc. I also finally brought up the topic about that Tuesday two weeks ago - our argument. I am so glad we finally discussed it peacefully.
We talked till about 4am, so that was A LOT. The time passed so quickly tho...
Before going to sleep W. also replied to the HG rp, but I decided to leave it for tomorrow.
