Ashton was searching everywhere for Mars because although he, himself, had thought to rid the group of the petty girl she was still Michael's "soul-mate". He would go out every night and search for the disappeared girl into the sunrise blinds him and he retreats home.
4 days, Ashton hadn't slept in 4 days.
Michael was acting strange around him and he didn't know why. What if he assumed that Ashton took Mars? Oh god, Ashton could never live with himself if Michael thought that. He just needed to be patient and keep looking then when he did find her, Michael would see that Ashton really did care for his friendship.
He just needed to keep looking.
