[this chapter will be long hopefully]

I'm Melina, and my life is nothing short of ordinary. Well, for the most part.

Boring job, boring house. The one thing I wouldn't call boring is the things I see everyday.

I live in Alaska, and I've seen Giants, and giant eagle-raven looking hybrid things.

Definitely weird.

One of the weirdest things was when I was working at my job, at a restaurant, I overheard some teenagers talking about stuff that was out of the ordinary.

Things about a seagull's head? And some other odd stuff.

That day, I saw a raven, that seemed as if it spoke to the girl of that group.

My mom once told me that my grandmother once heard of a girl whom a raven spoke to.

The girl she remembers had dark skin and curly hair, and the girl had that too.

What a strange coincidence.

We'd always thought grandma was a little on the crazy side, but now I kind of believe her.

Guess grandma might've been right.

Wish I'd gotten to tell her that before she moved to Vegas with my grandpa.

Anyways, I had taken the long trek home that day. By that, I mean that I decided not to take the carpool home.

I saw a flash of brownish gold far away, and I remember another story about a horse that included that sort of thing.

Either I'm hallucinating or grandma was actually smart.

I get home, and collapse on the couch.

My husky, Ezra, climbs on the couch next to me.

He was the only dog I could find in my part of Alaska, so it's nothing stereotypical. But I loved little Ezra from the moment I saw him at the shelter.

Suddenly, there's a knock at the door.

I stand up to answer it, and when I open it, no one's there.

But I can see off in the distance gigantic things.

Okay, I have to remember the name of the girl from the group I saw earlier.

After 10 minutes of thinking, I remember it was something along the lines of Hazel.

I pick up the phone and quickly dial grandma's number.

"Hello?" A voice on the other line says.

"Grandma? Oh gosh, I have a really important question for you." I say.

"What is it? Ask quickly though, your grandfather and I are meeting up with some people soon." She says

"Was the girl that you always talked about in your stories named Hazel?" I ask.

"Yes, she was named Hazel." She responds.

"I'll call you back Grandma." I say, hanging up the phone.

I lay back on the couch.

I served food to a girl that might be back from the dead.

Hey!

Sorry it's a short one, but I had an idea for a seeing-through-the-must mortal chapter.

What do you guys think?

Comment if you want more kind of like this!

Also, sorry if I got some stuff incorrect in this, I didn't mean to.

I served food to a girl that might be back from the dead.
