Mortals Meet Demigods

(From the time I started writing this, I had no entries, so I made this. Yes, I just used Everlark.)

"Mom!" I yell. "I'm going to Hazel's house now!"

Hazel is a good friend I met in an art class.

I go out the door and get in my car.

I drive as quickly as I can according to the speed limits and get to her apartment.

Hazel lives with three other girls, with whom she is close friends with.

Their names are Annabeth, Piper, and Calypso. I'd met them before, and they're pretty nice.

They were having a New Years Eve party, and I was helping them set up.

When I arrived, I grabbed my bag from the passengers side and got out.

I ran to their door and knocked.

Calypso answered the door, smiling.

"Come in, Bethany!" Calypso says, motioning inside.

I walk in, and I'm crushed in a world famous Hazel hug.

I hug her back, giggling.

"Come on!" she yells. "We need help with balloons and confetti!"

The party was about to start, and the five of us were drinking Coke as we waited for guests to arrive.

"They should be here any minute." Annabeth says.

As she said that, six boys barged in.

"Sure!" Piper said sarcastically. "You can come in!"

We all grab our cups and walk into the TV room, which is where all the boys sat in.

"So... Who are all these guys?" I ask Calypso.

"That's Annabeth's boyfriend Percy, Piper's boyfriend Jason, Hazel's boyfriend Frank, my boyfriend Leo, and then there's Nico and Will." Calypso says, pointing to each one as she said it. "You can kind of guess those last two."

Everyone had arrived and the party was a lot of fun.

The TV was on, broadcasting the New Years Eve ball drop performances.

I'd been hanging out with Hazel, meeting her friends and just having fun in general.

I'd been talking a lot with someone at the party, Jake Mason. He was really nice, and we seemed to have a lot in common.

When it was 11:58, everyone rushed
into the TV room to see the ball drop.

When the clock started counting down, we all counted down too.

"5...4...3...2...1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!" we all screamed.

After everyone had left, I was still at the house.

"Want to stay overnight?" Hazel asks. "It's 3am."

"Sure, just let me text my mom." I say.

I pull out my phone and text 'Staying at Hazels house for the night'.

"You can take the spare room." Piper says.

"First door on the left." Annabeth says.

I walk to the room and quickly fall asleep.

What a fun New Years Eve!

But anyways, this would sort of take place like, a decade before the chapter before this.

Anyways, I'd just like to say: I'm going to have Solangelo in my chapters. Don't judge.

Next chapter will be longer! (Hopefully *laugh*)
