Rejection
Tight jeans, styled t-shirt and a pair of nike shoes and I'm done. Gathering my things, I walked to my car and hopped in. This time, buo na ang loob ko. Kakausapin ko na ang famous na si Maddox Preston. I hope I'll get along with him. At exactly 10 minutes, nakarating na ako ng campus which to my surprise is not crowded like usual.
Step 1: Find Maddox Preston
Ginala ko ang paningin sa parking lot at ni anino niya ay hindi ko makita. He's probably in the fields training for soccer. I spotted Luke, one of Maddox friends from the team. Luke smirk when he caught me looking at him. Iniwas ko nalang ang tingin ko at naglakad sa direksyon nila. Wala akong choice kundi dumaan sa harapan nila dahil, iyon lang naman ang way papunta sa field.
Hinarang ko nalang ang buhok ko sa mukha ko para hindi nila ako mapansin. Thankfully, I managed to walk two meters away from them safely. But my next step caught me off guard and I lost my balance. I prepared myself from the pain of the impact of my body and the ground.
Yung tuhod ko ang nauna bago ko naiharang ang palad ko sa lupa para mapigilan ang pagbagsak ko. I felt the small pebbles sinking to my palm and knee and I hissed from the pain. Sinubukan kong iangat ang sarili ko pero hindi nakayanan ng braso ko ang bigat ko kaya naman mukhang mauulit yata ang pagbagsak ko. This time sigurado nang mukha ko ang mauuna. But the impact I'm expecting never came because two stong muscles gripped my waist to keep me from falling.
"Are you okay?" Concerned na tanong ni Luke at tinulungan akong makatayo. Hindi niya parin ako binibitiwan dahil matutumba ako kung sakali. Napalakas yata ang pagkatumba ko at medyo masakit ang mga tuhod ko.
Why do I have to be so clumsy? I mentally slapped myself.
"U-uh, yes. Thank you. Pwede mo nakong bitiwan." I said with a shaky voice. Luke is well built just like Maddox. He have a long blond hair that falls untill his neck. Luke is the goal keeper of the team and is very famous too. Well, bakit pa nga ba ako magtataka, their circle of friends are all well known.
Luke shook his head, "You dont look fine. Let me take you to the clinic." He uses his left hand to comb his long hair and the other one is keeping me still.
Napailing naman ako agad. I don't want to stay in clinic. It means not going to class and not being able to find Maddox. And the way students are looking at me right now, makes me want to burry myself alive. I never wanted too much attention. I really need to stop this misfortunes. Wala namang mawawala kung gagawin ko ang sinabi ng maghuhula. Its not like I believe in sex before marriage.
"Hindi na. Kaya ko na to. Salamat ulit." I tried to walk but Luke's arm is still in my waist so I looked at him waiting for him to let go of me.
"I insist on taking you to the clinic."
I was suppose to argue but he made me stop. "Don't argue, redcheeks." He warned giving me a nickname. Hindi ko nalang pinansin ang nick name na binigay niya sakin at hinayaan siyang alalayan ako sa clinic.
"Just a few gashes here and there and you're ready to go." The nurse instruct and points at my palm and knee.Binaba ko na ang pantalon kong nakalislis nang matapos na ang ginagawa niya.
"Excuse me pero wala na ba kayong gagawin sa kanya? You know, like put medicine on her scars or something." Luke asked the nurse.
"Oh, what a sweet boyfriend you are dear. Dont wory, your girl friend doesn't need any of those because she doesn't have any scars." The nurse answered laughing slightly showing some wrinkles in her face.
Naramdaman kong namula ang pisngi ko sa sinabi ng nurse. "Hindi ko po siya boyfriend." Pagtanggi ko.
"Yes. Sinamahan ko lang siya." Nakangiting sambit ni Luke. Ang kamay niya ay nakapatong sa batok niya na para bang nahihiya.
