Penelope's POV
Coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body, I was greeted by a sulking Maddox.
There was a constant frown in his face as he watched me take out clothes from my luggage.
"Maddox, wag ka nang bumusangot diyan. How about you tour around New York for today while I'm at work?" Suhesyon ko at iniwan ito upang magbihis sa loob ng walk in closet.
Lunes ngayon at ito na ang huling araw ko sa trabaho. I had talked to Niko over the phone and he thankfully understood my side. I know he have feelings for me and I am very grateful to him.
So iyon nga. Kaya nakabusangot si Maddox ngayon ay dahil ayaw niya akong umalis. Pero hindi naman pwedeng hindi ako magrtabaho ngayon dahil una sa lahat, kahit na naka-usap ko na si Niko sa telepono ay kailangan ko parin makipag-usap sa kanya sa personal at pangalawa, ito na ang huling araw ko sa trabaho bago ang flight namin ni Maddox bukas.
Pagbalik ko sa kwarto ay ganon' parin ang expresyon ng mukha ni Maddox habang nakaupo sa kama nito na walang damit pantaas. His chest was on display and realized that this is actually so much better than his shirtless covers in magazines.
Nang makita ako ay mas lalong nagdilim ang mukha nito. "What are you wearing?"
"Corporates attire? You know, the usual thing I wear to the office." I asnwered as a matter of fact. Base sa hitsura nito para bang mali ang isinuot kong damit.
"That skirt is too fucking short." He stated in disapproval.
"No it isnt." I argued and started fixing my make-up in front of his mirror. The skirt is only two inches above my thighs so Maddox is just overreacting.
Biglang tumayo si Maddox at nagtungo sa banyo. Hinayaan ko lang ito at tinuloy ang paglalagay ng mascara at lip gloss. Pagkatapos ng sampung minuto ay lumabas si Maddox na bagong ligo na. I watched him enter his closet and five minutes after, he's all dressed up.
"Saan ka pupunta?" Tanong ko. "Mamamasyal ka ba? I know a good place to—"
"No. I'm coming with you." Sagot nito habang nilalagay ang butones ng shirt nito.
"Coming with me where?" And when I realized what he meant, my mouth hanged open. "No, you cant. Ano namang gagawin mo sa office?"
"I'll just sit there. You won't even feel that I'm with you, I promise." H promiseed and I narrowed my eyes at him. I feel like it'll be a broken promise.
"Maddox..."
"I'm coming with you." He concluded.
"No you're not."
"Yes I am. Let's go. You're going to be late." Sambit nito at kinuha ang bag at cellphone ko sa ibabaw ng dresser at hinila ako palabas ng apartment nito papasok sa elevator.
"It's very unprofessional to have my boyfriend—"
I was cut off when Maddox kissed me all of a sudden. Probably to shut me up.
Pagdating namin sa kompanya ay agad akong binati ng mga empleyado, samantalang tahimik lang na nakasunod sa tabi ko si Maddox. Ang ilan sa mga co-workers ko ay pasimpleng tumitingin sa amin ni Maddox. They all probably wondered why I have a guy with me since they had never seen me date before.
Pagdating ko sa cubicle ko ay narealize kong isa lang ang upuan at walang ma-uupuan si Maddox.
"Kuhanan lang kita ng upuan sa breakroom." Paalam ko ngunit hinila ako ni Maddox. He sat on my chair and pulled me down to him.
