Stupid Mistakes
Penelope's POV
"Penelope! Wait!"
I heard Oli screamed from behind me but I kept running and went inside the lady's bathroom.
Locking the door, I sat on the floor and cried. It was really him. It wasn't jusy a day dream. Nang makita ko siya bumalik ang lahat ng sakit noong iniwan ko siya. Ang bigat-bigat sa dibdib.
It was me who left him at wala na akong mukhang maihaharap pa sa kanya. How could I when I brought him pain over and over again.
After five years, he looked so different. His eyes were cold and empty as they stared back at me. Siguro ay galit ito sa akin. Baka nga kinamumuhian na ako nito ngayon. He have all the right to resent me and I don't deserve to talk to him or even look at him.
"Penelope, open the door. I know your're in there. Talk to me." There were several knocks from the door.
Pinunasan ko ang mga luha sa mga mata ko at binuksan ang pinto. Pumasok si Oli at agad ko itong niyakap.
"What's wrong love? What happened?" He asked while rubbing my back.
"I saw him." Sambit ko na nag-umpisa nanamang umiyak.
"Who?"
"Maddox. He was standing right in front if me. His face was blank and... and..." I couldn't even finish my sentence.
"Maddox? The hot model who was behind me? That's him? Your ex-boyfriend?"
I nodded and sobbed.
"Then why did you run?"
"I can't face him. I wanted to apologize, beg for his forgiveness but I'm too scared. Oli, I'm such a coward. I'm f*cking worthless."
"Don't say that. I think you both need closure right now. Maddox deserves to hear your explanation. It's been five years, I'm sure he went crazy wondering why you left him."
"You're right. I have to talk to him and explain myself. Even ift he won't forgive me, I should at least try."
"That's right. That's the Penelope I know. But for now, it think you should change your clothes. I can practically see your boobies in that gown. On second thought, don't change it. I think a little seductiom will help him forgive you." He joked.
"Stop joking, Oliver." Sita ko sa kanya.
"I'm just trying to make you feel better." He defended with a pout.
Nagaganap parin ang runway kaya kinuha ko itong pagkakataon na ito para magbihis. Papunta palang kami sa dressing room ni Oli nang matigilan ako.
Maddox was running towards my direction, he haven't seen me yet but his head was turning in every direction, looking for something. I was frozen, and when he finally found me, he stopped, stared at me for a second before his eyes turned cold again.
He started walking towards me and I gulp. Hindi parin ako makapaniwalang nakikita ko siya ngayon ng personal. For the part five years, sa mga billboard, commercial at magazines ko lang siya nakikita. Pero ngayong nasa harap ko na siya, it felt surreal.
Tumigil si Maddox sa harap ko at nanatiling nakatayo. His eyes traveled down my body before settling to my face.
"I think I should go first." Paalam ni Oli na nag-umpisa nang maglakad palayo, sa pinaggalingan ni Maddox.
"Maddox." I whispered.
"How many times do you have to leave me? How many times do I have to keep looking for you?" He asked and took a steo closer to me while I took a steo back.
