Chapter 65 - Fear of Flying

It was a wednesday afternoon, and I was with Rianna in town waiting for our friend Calvin. We were in Starbucks and were gonna catch up with him as we hadn't seen him for a while.

"Its so hot man, why are we here?! We should be chilling on a beach somewhere, having cocktails!" Rianna said, dabbing at her face with a tissue

"I know man! I really wanted to go away this year but everyone messed up the plans. Maybe we could do something last minute at the end of august..."

We moved forward in the queue and ordered our drinks and Calvin arrived as we were paying.

We all headed over to a table after receiving our drink orders.

"So what have you ladies been up to recently?" Calvin asked, stirring his black coffee after adding some sugar.

"Nothing much, just exams and coursework stress. You?" Rianna replied, pushing her hair back and fanning herself with her hand

"Same really... What about you, ciara?" He said, with a cheeky grin on his face as if he knew something I didn't

"What's with the grin?" I said, laughing awkwardly before answering his question

"Oh... Its just that I heard about you... You and Furie...." He said, as if I shouldve known what he meant

"What about me and Furie? That I met him?"

Furie was the rapper who Jade and I had gone to the hotel with

"Don't act coy, I know you two got it on"

"What?!" Rianna said, looking at me in shock. "Why was I never told about this, I'm your best friend!" She said, seeming hurt

"Because there was nothing to tell, and you knew I went to the hotel. Nothing happened between us." I said, shrugging

"Rumour is that you two fucked..." Calvin said, seeming confused

Only one person could have been giving out this innacurate information, and that one person also had a rep for talking too much - Jade.

"Why the fuck is this bitch spreading lies?!" I said, groaning with frustration

That Friday evening, there was an all-white party happening for Kyle's friend, Puffy's birthday.

I knew the rest of the girls were already at the party, but I had had to go into work for something so Rianna and I arrived around Midnight.

We walked into the venue and stood at the top of the stairs, scanning the room for our group, or at least some people we knew. I spotted Karina standing with Meisha, Paige, sofi and Jade.

I didn't really get why they were with Sofi, but I decided to ignore it. We descended the stairs and walked over to them. I saw Jade's facial expression alter slightly as she saw me approaching....

"Well if it isn't little miss hip hop. Wife!" Karina said, laughing

I threw Jade an evil look and simply shrugged at what Karina said... There was an air of awkwardness around the group.

I scanned the room and saw Tyrell in a corner with a group of people and decided to go over and speak to him. He looked a bit shocked to see me approaching

We had been talking for a few minutes when he came out with it.

"What's this about you and Furie?" He said, shaking his head.

"Its not true! That bitch Jade has been spreading lies about me!"

Tyrell stood up and approached my group, stopping behind Jade and whispering in her ears
