Chapter 7
-Saige-
"Saige! Guess what tomorrow is?" Alison cheekily smiled. "I don't know." I looked through my notebook, skim reading my old songs I've written. "Tomorrow, Drew is coming! That means--" "That he'll take me on a date." I cut her off. "Are you not excited about it? I mean it was your idea." She scoffed. "No, I am. It's just that, what if it's a bad idea?" I sighed. "It is not a bad idea. Like I've said, a million times before, you really need to get over Zayn. It's been three-hundred-sixty-five days since that happened." "I know, I know." I huffed. "I just hope everything goes well tomorrow." I smiled. "It will." Ali smiled while rubbing my shoulders. "I'll see you later, okay? I'm going to find some things for you to wear tomorrow." I nodded.
I kept reading all my old songs. I laughed at a few of the old love songs I've written when I was twelve. I didn't even know what love is...I still don't even know what love is. I started to think about Zayn again.
Will he get jealous and want me back? Of course not he's happy with Perrie.
My mind trailed off to the song that Harry and I wrote together. I realized it helped me forget about Zayn. I decided to make a song. I know I sound like Taylor Swift, oh well.
I flipped to a page that was blank. I played with the pencil until I got an idea.
Pictures in my pocket
Are faded from the washer
I can barely just make out your face
Food you saved for later
In my refrigerator
It's been too long since later never came
I know
One day eventually
Yeah, I know
One day I'll have to let it all go
But I keep it just in case
Yeah, I keep it just in case
In case
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
Strong enough to leave you
But weak enough to need you
Cared enough to let you walk away
I took that dirty jacket
From the trash right where you left it
'Cause I couldn't stand to see it go to waste
I know
One day eventually
Yeah, I know
One day I'll have to let it all go
But I keep it just in case
Yeah, I keep it just in case
In case
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
In case
You're looking in that mirror one day
And miss my arms
How they wrapped around your waist
I say that you can love me again
Even if it isn't the case
Ohhh
You don't find what you're looking for
Ohhh
You're missing my love
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
In case.
I re-read what I have just written on the paper. I smiled. The song related to me in so many ways. Yes, it's about Zayn, but it helps me forget about that small crack in my heart.
The slam of the front door, broke me from my thoughts. "Saige!" Ali sing-songed. "Yeah?" I closed the notebook, shoving it under my pillow. "Okay, so I got you two dresses and one pair of shoes." She threw the shopping bags onto my bed. "Go try on the dress." She pointed towards the bathroom across the room.
I grabbed the two shopping bags and hopped to the bathroom. I slipped on the dress. It was really pretty. It was white at the top, when it reached my waist it was a floral pattern, and ended on the middle of my thigh. I slipped on the cream colored flats.
"Are you done yet?" Ali called from the other side of the door. I opened the door. "How do I look?" I did a little spin. "You look so beautiful!" Alison hugged me tightly. "Thanks, I really love this dress." I kept playing with the ends of the dress. "I need to borrow that sometime." Ali smirked.
I smiled and looked at the dress again. "I'll be making dinner." Alison said before leaving.
I slipped out of the dress and folded it neatly. I walked into the kitchen, a delightful scent welcomed me. "Mmm, what are you making?" I sat down at the table. "Chicken breast and salad. Is that okay?" Ali continued cooking. "Of course!" I smiled.
Ali sat down the food and gave me a plate. "I wrote another song earlier." I chirped. "What is it about?" She asked while eating a piece of chicken. "It's sort of hard to explain, like this girl misses him, she keeps everything. Their memories, his gifts." My voice trailed off. "Is it just like Don't Let Me Go?" I played with the salad. "Sort of...yeah." I looked down. "I just can't get my mind off of him. It seems like music is the only way to do it." I shoved some salad in my mouth.
I finished my meal and placed the dish into the sink. "Show me the paper or sing to me. Which ever your comfortable with." Ali smiled. I grabbed the notebook.
"Okay, I'll do both." I stood up. "Pictures in my pocket are faded from the washer..."

"Saige, this is actually good. You should show Harry." Alison smiled. "You think so?" "I know so. I don't know why your famous yet, you have such a great voice." I blushed. "Thanks, Ali." I hugged her tightly. "I love you so much!"
(A/N) Sorry if it's short, I know the song took up most of the space, but I didn't have any ideas. In Case is by Demi Lovato. I put the video on the side so you can listen to it. Oh yeah, I'm also sort of running out of ideas...if you have any ideas please comment! Leave Feedback! xx
P.S. I know i posted this an hour early... lol idk. okay byee!

Broken Angel // Zayn Malik
Fanfiction"we're all a little broken, and that's okay." I haven't seen him, talked to him, or even heard of him since that day. I've pushed people away, because they couldn't fill in that emptiness I felt inside when he wasn't there. I feel broken.
