That one word kept repeating itself over and over again in my head. I had to run out of the DMWA, out of Death City...before it happens again.
Memories began flashing through my head. Afternoons playing the piano with Soul, reading with Maka, being forced to try on all sorts of outfits by Liz, talking about giraffes with Patty, Crona smiling, cooking with Tsubaki, even knocking Black Star our. And Kid...I'm really going to miss this place.
I turned a corner and almost crashed into someone. "Kid!" I gasped. "What are you doing here?" Kid tilted his head. "That was what I was going to ask you. (y/n), are you okay?" he said. I blinked, shocked to find tears running down my cheeks. I immediately wiped them away.
"Kid, please! I have to go," I said. "Go where?" he asked eyeing my bag. "Are you...leaving?" he said. "No! I-I mean yes. But there's no time to explain. I'm really sorry but I have to-" I was cut short by a loud explosion. "Oh no," I thought, dread growing in my stomach.
