Prologue
I lay underneath the stars wondering if we are underneath the same sky.
Stars.
They have been my only real companion in life but to let go of everything I ever dreamed of be an option for you and you take it hoping it is for the better.
But sometimes the right thing to do doesn't seem like the right thing because nothing good comes out of it. So to let go of someone you love could be the hardest thing you ever do and you do it for a selfish reason is even harder.
To leave that person shattered like you are, hoping one day to ask for forgiveness and hoping that love hasn't wavered or they haven't moved on is probably the most selfish thing I would ever do because I am unconditionally, irrecovably in love with them.
