I am so tired. I didn't know that 16 hours flight will be this exhausting and all I did was sit, eat and sleep. Sa wakas, NAIA, Philippines.
"Mack, see you sometimes, let's hang out kapag nandito ako sa Manila." Lynn, she's one of the FA na naging kaibigan ko na rin during my 16 hrs of flight. We exchanged numbers. She lives in Taguig, I don't even know where that is but it sounds familiar. She's my age 21.
"Sure, just let me know when you get back." She nodded and smiled at me. I was one of the last passenger to get out of the plane dahil nagchichikahan pa kami. Isa yan sa mga bagong word na natutunan ko while I'm on the plane. Turo ni Lynn sa akin.
"Oh, by the way. Pagbalik ko, I will introduce you to my college bestfriend, Tisoy. I heard he's still single." Sabi pa niya. She gave me that mischievous smile. I ignored it. I'm not into that kind of stuff at the moment. I'm here to find "me".
"If he's still single why didn't you date him, may advantage ka kaya." Sagot ko sa kanya. Bumungisngis lang siya sa akin.
"Nah. He's handsome, boyfriend material, gentleman, at super bait at napakalambing, but he's not my type. I like tall, dark and Boom Bae." She said in between giggles.
"What is tall, dark and Boom Bae? Isn't that what they call tall, dark and handsome? Boom Bae na ba ang bagong slang term para doon?" Tanong ko at tinawanan lang ako ng bruha.
"Hindi, sira! Tall, dark and Boomb Bae kasi bombay and boyfriend ko, si Rashid and he's my bae." Nasabihan pa ako ng sira. Bae? Hanggang Philippines ba may bae na rin? I am not even gonna go there. Bae, huh!
"Wait! That junior pilot is your boyfriend?!" Surprise and shocked written all over my face. Nagulat ako doon, not expecting it.
"How did you know that he's a pilot?" Tanong niya. Duh! The captain announced it before the take off?
"It was announced before taking off from JFK." I simply said. Parang hindi kasi sila sweet. Then all of a sudden.... Wow.
"Hello, my pearl of the orient." Sabi nito sa kanya na mas lalong nagpabungingis Lynn. Kinilig pa ang loka.
"Oh, hello, my Indian destiny." Oh, what the hell... this too much. He gave her a peck on the cheek and giggled with her. Wow. Ano to? Naiiling na lang ako.
"Hello there, beautiful creature." Sabi niya sa akin. Napatingin ako kay Lynn, mas lalong lumaki ang ngiti niya. Iniabot ko ang kamay ko kay Rashid but instead of a shake hands, hinalikan naman niya ito.
"H-hello." Is all I could say. Ewww! May girlfriend na, flirting pa rin? Harap-harapan pa!
"Huy, wag mo namang takutin ang bago kong friend." Saway ni Lynn sa kanya.
"Hahaha. Sorry. Sana hindi ka natakot sa akin. Joke lang yun." What the hell! A Joke? It looks like flirting to me. Oh, this awkward.
