Life Retaining Love

The cancer comes to eat you, while you are asleep,

When you are dreaming and don't make a peep.

For what it is worth, I think that you should know,

You don't have to worry, because you won't go.

His love for you is strong and it's keeping you alive,

Because he cares so much, to keep you from a long dive.

He wishes to keep you safe and protect you from everything,

Because he wakes every single morning, just to hear you sing.

You are his reason for living and his soul-retaining source,

You warm his heart with your love and guide him on his daily course.

The thing that's keeping you alive, is your will to be with him,

And that is why you aren't hanging, on a life-threatening limb.

I know that things seem bad and you're in a lot of pain,

But once this is all over, you will make a nice gain.

Your health will soon return, along with the seed of your youth,

You'll notice every change, right down to a single tooth.

You and your husband, will live happily together,

Through picture perfect moments and even bad weather.

His love has kept you alive, so that you may always see,

Hand in hand exploring, wherever you may want to be.
