On or off, I love you or I hate you,
Something in the middle is not really what I do.
I have a big heart and so I was made to love,
Whether it be inside or under the sun above.
I'm not used to holding back not even a bit,
And yet here I am holding back as I sit.
I'm waiting for the right time or even the place,
To tell you how I truly feel while face to face.
It's not easy what I'm doing, but I'm doing it for you,
I'm patient and withholding the love that shines through.
I'm easy to read when I have stars in my eyes,
Even right now while under a guise.
I love you and I need you, I must confess,
You're so amazing that you leave me breathless.
And I know that this sounds all too good to be true,
But the reality is: I've fallen hard for you.
From your beautiful smile to your cherub-like voice,
I know that by waiting I've made the right choice.
There's no doubt in my mind I see it all clearly,
And at this very moment I miss you so dearly.
Small steps may be hard but I want it all,
From laughter to tears and catching you when you fall.
We'll build and progress and make each other stronger,
While this story of our lives becomes even longer.
