I wish I knew what happened to us,
I wish I knew what was all the fuss.
It seems so surreal sitting here alone,
All because of a stupid, lifeless phone.
I now know that I was wrong about you and I.
Love was always there, but all I did was deny.
Maybe I was scared, of letting you in,
Allowing something brand new to begin.
Unconditional love was there,
Hard to believe, but I swear.
Our mouths were filled of words not our own,
Causing our happiness, to be thrown.
Maybe we'll remember and find what we had,
Tossing doubt and anger out, like they're a fad.
