Thoughts: Segment One

7 1 1

I thought I lost pieces of my heart, long time ago,

But knowing my heart still aches proves, that it is not so.

You can always give people your love, but never your heart.

Love is an action that does not rip, your dear heart apart.

The pain one feels is like poison, injected straight inside,

And in the end it's all the same, knowing that we'll have cried.

Sometimes the heartache can be dramatically painful,

Like a noose around your neck waiting for the final pull.

My past experiences have made me build my walls high,

Making it nearly impossible, to see eye to eye.

It's like living in a fort, with my thoughts and emotions,

With me trying to escape, the word seas and hate oceans.

The pain is different for all, so we can't all relate,

Just like the choices we make, to decide each other's fate.

So in drawing to a conclusion, one must truly say,

"With our hearts in tow, try to be happy every day."
