To Live For Days Like These

To live for days like these,

You must borrow and please.

Time, money and moments,

Seconds, touches and cents.

A day starting after the noon,

Won't end before the new moon.

A day starting with rest,

And warm breakfast is best.

Shower and then get dressed,

Knowing that you are blessed.

With power and being,

Of breathing and seeing.

Your plans for the night,

Are not out of sight.

While you eat your quick dinner,

The countdown becomes thinner.

The crew quickly arrive,

So commences the drive.

The night races without a hitch,

And comes to a halt, with a stitch.

Now I lay here, wide awake.

Without booze, for goodness sake.

I should have called you, like I said,

Instead of laying, on this bed.

Now I long, to be out with you,

Knowing there's nothing, else to do.

Come save me, won't you please.

To live for days, like these.
