Mabel's POV:

I slowly woke up, and noticed that Bill was gone. I didn't feel as cold anymore, so I stood up and walked out the door into the hallway.

Before I knew what was happening, a creature had grabbed me by the neck and started choking me.

Everything around me slowly started to fade to darkness, and I couldn't do anything about it.

"What are you doing to her?!"

   "S-she's a human!"

   "Release her this instant!"

The creature quickly let go of me, and I fell to the ground. The sound of my head hitting the floor echoed through the halls.

"Wow Teeth, you could have killed her. Great job."

Bill's voice was filled with sarcasm, and not the least bit of worry.

I tried to sit up, but I was pushed back down by the creature.

   "Stay down, human!"

"She won't be human for long."

   "Th-this is Shooting Star?!"

   "Took you long enough."

I heard the snap of Bill's fingers before I saw the creature fall to the floor, sleeping peacefully.

"W-what did you do to him?"

"That's none of your concern. Now go to sleep."

Just hearing that word gave me a drowsy feeling, and I was out cold.
