Starlina's POV:
I stepped through the tall mahogany doors and looked around. The curtains were drawn, and no lamps were turned on. A few candles were lit around the room, each having a small blue flame dancing on their wick. There was a tall four post bed, with beautiful black curtains hanging from the rails. As I looked closer, I saw intricate designs made from golden thread. Messages in a language I had once seen in Pine Tree's journal and triangles lined the bottom. It was beautiful.
I came closer to the bed, and my hands started to glow a dim black. The aura grew a little bigger and glittering silver stars appeared inside it. I saw constellations, but one stood out to me. Golden stars that formed a shooting star constellation. Those stars then changed to pink and three other stars turned golden. The three stars formed a triangle. The triangle constellation came closer to the shooting star one, but when they touched, they turned blue and fell apart. The galaxy in my hands faded away and I was left with an empty feeling.
I took another step closer to the bed and heard whispers in my head.
Starlina, please. Do not pull back these curtains. I don't want you to see me like this. I am fine, I promise you. But please, do not look upon me when I am in such a state. Broken bones and cut skin will never compare to how shattered I am without you.
"A-alright Father......"
"Starlina..... Do you see that?"
"What?"
I turned and saw Tyrone standing in the doorway. His face was filled with horror.
"No wonder he didn't want anyone in here....."
"Tyrone what do you mean?"
He reluctantly stepped through the doors and went to the far corner of the room, where a lone table stood. There were strangely shaped bottles, scattered papers with strange writing, and an unused piece of black chalk.
"Tyrone, what is all this?"
Starlina, it's not what you think. Please Starlina I never meant for you to see this. Starlina I've changed.
"Father?"
"Star, I think we need to go. Now."
"Tyrone, what is-"
He grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him as he ran out of the room. He shut the doors and their sound echoed through the castle.
Jill came running from my room.
"What were you two doing in there!"
"I had took Star to see Uncle Bill-"
"He has told both of you many times to never go in there!"
A sudden wave of sadness hit me with full force. It wasn't from Jill scolding us, everything around me just seemed so empty, dull and pointless. I felt warm tears slide down my cheek, and Jill stopped talking.
Jill's POV:
She's crying! Oh I know I went much to hard on them!
"Starlina? Oh Starlina darling I'm so sorry I yelled-"
She just hugged me tight and cried into my shoulder. The bright pinks of her clothing faded to a soft gray. The streaks of pink in her hair disappeared. Her once floating hat fell to the cold floor. She fell limp in my arms as she sobbed.
