"Ladies and gentleman, Mr. And Mrs. Mac Rodriguez!" The priest called, as Mac lifted me bridal style.
"Fuck I'm lucky" Hr chuckled, walking through the family and friends lining the aisle.
"Nope," I argued kissing his cheek, "but I sure am".
He scoffed, looking up to take in his surroundings.
The pause in his stride told me he had seen something, which I turned to look for.
It didn't take me long to spot the two suited minions.
They stood in the back of the line, applauding us just like the rest, but I didn't know them, and Mac did.
"Dex" was the single word he whispered as he sat me down on my feet taking hold of my hand and raising our combined hands above our heads, "Just do the shit we rehearsed, don't let em see ya scared" He coached, waving at the people around us.
He quickly switched sides with me, putting me on the clear side and him closest to the strange men as we walked by them.
"Nothin gonna happen to ya" he promised, helping me into his truck.
He walked around getting into the other side.
We sped off toward the Luna mesa for our reception.
I wasn't surprised to learn tgelat the creepy men had followed and decided to attend.
Instead I sucked it up and followed Mac on the dance floor for our first dance, he had argued his point for days on why he didn't want a dance, but when I finally agreed, he changed his mind.
Told me not to get used to sappy shit, but he'd at least give me a normal wedding.
The music started to play as we walked hand in hand to the middle of the floor.
"Mr. And Mrs. Rodriguez will now have their first dance as husband and wife" Walter the makeshift DJ announced, dimming the lights as he did.
