"Come on; I have two amazing tickets, and you know I have to go because it's me, and I would rather go with you than anyone else!" Tony chased you around the tower.

You laughed and rolled your eyes, "What, no Rhodey?"

Tony shrugged, "He's busy."

"Oh, so I'm your second choice?"

"No! Do not use that against me. You know I owe him, so I asked him, and it turned out he's busy. Come on, just go with me." Tony started to plead.

You laughed, "Oh my gosh, are you, Tony Stark, begging me to go with you?" You raised an eyebrow; this didn't happen often. Tony was used to getting what he wanted, but you were one of the only people who could tell him no, and when you said no, it made him upset.

Tony crossed his arms, "Fine; you don't want to go? I won't help you improve your suit," A smirk crept onto his face. Lately, you had been asking if he would make your suit more indestructible, and he still hadn't done it.

"Promise you'll work on my suit with me very soon?" You stuck out your hand for a handshake, confirming the deal. "Being an assassin is hard work if your suit breaks every time your hit."

Tony smiled and shook your hand, "I guess we have a deal!" He cheered.

The day of the baseball game finally came.

You weren't entirely sure why Tony was given tickets to this game, but then you remembered they might have been trying to suck up. You also wondered why Tony agreed to go to this game; was his reputation needing it? Did his ego need to get bigger? You had no clue, but went with him anyway.

You were messing around on your phone most of the time, as the game was kind of boring. There was a part where it got interesting, and you were almost sure you would catch a ball. But alas, only a few rows before you got the baseball, and Tony laughed as you pouted.

You looked up abruptly when you heard some random music, different than what had been playing before. "What's going on?" You asked. "Halftime?"

Tony chuckled, "Technically, it isn't called- never mind. Yeah, halftime." He was going to explain but realized that you probably wouldn't pay attention to what he was saying.

People were running around during the little break; then, an announcer came over the speakers, and the pictures on the screen turned into hearts.

"This is my favorite part!" You squealed as the camera flashed to random couples, making them kiss.

Then, all of a sudden, your face appeared on the big screen. Tony and you were sitting close together, but only because you could hear anything unless you shouted. It's not like you were touching each other, which shocked you. You started shaking your head to try to say you weren't with Tony, but the announcer spoke.

"We need a kiss!"

You groaned and fell back into your uncomfortable chair, glaring at Tony from the side.

You could see Tony laughing as he put his hand on your arm, "I'm not that bad."

"You're my best friend," You sat back up with your arms crossed, and before he had any time to react, you put your hands on Tony's cheeks and pulled him in for a kiss. It was quick, and you pulled away after only a few seconds, wiping your lips mockingly when the camera went onto another couple.

"What the hell?" Tony laughed.

You shrugged, "Gross."

"Hey, I have a question for you," Clint said when he walked into the kitchen when you were preparing a sandwich.

"Yeah? Make it quick; I'm going to help Tony fix my suit," You nodded towards him.

"What's this?" Clint showed his phone, which you quickly snatched out of his hands; your jaw dropped the picture seemed to get brighter.

"Where did you find this?!" You yelled, turning the phone for him to look at again.

"It's on the front of, like, every magazine. What is it?" Clint was beyond confused- he thought you two were only friends. Why were there pictures of them kissing everywhere?

"Oh, my God," You sighed, "I have to go," You told Clint and ran off. "Tony!" You started to scream through the base.

You ran into his office, and Tony jumped back when he heard you yelling, "What's going on?" He asked.

"Why are there pictures of us kissing every corner I look?" You raised your eyebrows with your arms crossed.

Tony's eyes grew wide, "What?"

"The picture from the baseball game, it's out, everywhere!" You told him, resulting in Tony running over to his computer and searching things quickly.

"J, I need everything with the keywords Tony Stark and (Y/N) (L/N)," He frantically said and looked at everything that began to pop up around him.

You read off a few, some saying that you made a move, some saying that Tony made this happen, and some stating that it was the baseball game. Of course, opinions were flying all over the place- mainly about if you and Tony were 'shipped' or not. He's your best friend, why would you get with him?

"The whole world has gone insane," Tony laughed as he looked at all the new reports blowing up on the screens.

"Clearly. Good or bad?" You asked.

"Most good, I think. A lot saying that it was 'finally time they got together,'" Tony shrugged, "What do we do?"

"Well, what can we do?" You groaned as you fell back into the chair, "It's not like we're actually together."

"You two could make a statement that you are not together and end this right now," JARVIS echoed through the lab.

"Yeah, that or; you guys finally admit your feelings for each other and realize that this was a good way to actually be pushed together," Natasha smirked when she walked into the lab.

Your lips pressed together as you tried to hold in your laughter, "You really think I have a thing for Tony? Maybe in your dreams, Nat, he's my best friend, and I don't think that would ever happen," You shook your head with a small smile.

"Yeah, I'll have to agree on this one. Feelings?" Tony laughed and shook his head with yours, "I think you're just as crazy as the rest of the world."

Natasha smiled, "Alright, whatever you guys say," She started to leave but stopped once she got to the door, "But a kiss can change a lot."

The door shut, and you and Tony made eye contact; it was silent for a second. And then, without one more thought, you two burst out laughing. There was no way Natasha was right. "Let's just get working," You threw some fabric at Tony and walked over to where your old suit was set up.

"Can you imagine how much more awkward it would have been if I did end up taking Rhodey?" Tony said under his breath, and the room filled with laughter once again.
